"Nice clean and comfortable room at front of hotel. Had a good evening meal and breakfast. The staff are brilliant- just need a few more. Small car park on site is convenient but also next to public car park if full. Being an old building in a heat wave the room was hot but at least had a fan and a big window. Would be more than happy to return in future."

"Check in speedy & shown straight to room which although cosy was well equipped & very clean, staff all ready friendly & welcoming. Breakfast choice excellent. Although evening meal was well cooked & good plate size, we thought that the menu was fixed & rather limited, there were no specials offered. Would struggle to eat there for more than a couple of nights."

We enjoyed perfectly prepared meals in a relaxing setting with characterful references reminiscent of Beer’s fishing heritage. The building was tired, externally and internally."

"Great location and really lovely laid out cottage. All bedrooms were a good size and kitchen well equipped. The garden is perfect for dogs but it is not directly opposite the cottage - so you need to accompany your dog. Take a torch for the path at night. Would book again."
