Beautiful home on the Back Bay of Lake Superior near Bay Mills Resort and Casino

Welcome to the “Bertram’s By The Bay!” This home has a private, direct, view of the Back Bay of Lake Superior, right out the window. It is 5 minutes from the Bay Mills Resort and Casino. We have a small child’s swing set in the back yard, fire pit, two kayaks, and a garage bay for parking. The home has three bedrooms, two full bathrooms, and a heated mud room to hang snow gear. We hope you enjoy the cozy and relaxing environment!

Great for a Family

We had a wonderful stay here with our family. The host is a great communicator and set us up well. A highlight was kayaking on the lake under a double rainbow. It was an incredible experience! We recommend this place for others to enjoy as well!

LSSU GRADUATION WEEKEND

Our daughter had a full weekend of graduation events. 7 of us stayed and there was plenty of room and with 2 bathrooms, getting ready was easy. The house was clean and the view was beautiful. Thank you for sharing!

Peaceful Fall getaway

Our group of three retired women thoroughly enjoyed the serene property. The home was comfortable and well stocked with a great zen-like view. We loved having the best of all worlds being able to relax on the deck, visit town, or sightsee many of the area attractions.

We kept very busy seeing the sights and relaxing at the house. Only 1 suggestion. Leave more toilet paper. We had to go out and but some. All females staying at the house, 3 of whom were unfortunately on their periods. Keeping extra available under the sinks would have been most helpful.

Quiet lake house

Nice view of the lake. Not what I was expecting for a house on “Lake Superior” it is move of a house on the bay inside another bay. There was a strange little room in the garage that connected to the master bedroom. This didn’t make it easy for a restful sleep, my husband on the other hand had no problem. We weren’t able to shut the garage to close up while we were gone or at night. The lake access was nice, sand with a dock. Unfortunately multiple people in our party got leaches from wading in the sand. Not much shade out front by the lake but we did enjoy the zero gravity swing. If you were looking for a moderately rural, Modernized old U.P. Lake house this is a nice place overall

Great Location on the Lake

The location is remote, quiet and right on the lake. The kids loved the yard and water. The host was excellent and communicated well. We made day trips to several UP locations. The home is a bit rustic. It was beautiful scenery and felt like camping. Thank you!

Communication with host was fantastic. My daughter loved the bunk beds. House stayed nice and warm even with the snowstorm. Good wi-fi internet service. Property was as described, and located in a very quiet neighborhood. A perfect getaway from the city, just what we were looking for.

Weekend snowmobile trip

Nice location, easy access. We were able to snowmobile right from the house due to the Bay being frozen. Casino and good restaurants near by made it nice. Would definetly stay here again.

Nice Place to stay

We enjoyed the view of the lake, from the backyard. We were only able to use the firepit one day, as weather turned windy. The house was well furnished and clean. We enjoyed the five days there.

Great Vacation Spot

We enjoyed the spacious accommodations and especially the great amenities including the kayaks and the swing out in the back. The kids loved the large sand pit and toys and the kids books and games were an added plus. The personalized basket of treats upon arrival was very thoughtful, but nothing beat enjoying the morning coffee on the back patio with the view of the bay! Definitely would stay again if back up north!

Family Vacation

My husband and I wanted to take a trip with our two small children, along with my parents and sister. My parents grew up in the Soo so this area was great for taking our kids to explore. The house and property was perfect for us and we plan to return.
