"While struggling with the self check in computers I asked a staff member if I could check in with him and he just said “no it’s self check in. Use the computer”. He still had to create the room key, which didn’t work, so I returned to the lobby for a new one, which also didn’t work. I was then told “I don’t think any key will work, except for mine. So if you go out, I’ll have to let you back in.” You would think he would offer to move us to another room where a key did work. But no such luck. Once in the room, it was spacious and had a decent shower. The extractor fan, that turned on automatically with the light, was extremely loud!"

"Good location, lovely helpful staff. Plenty of lounge space and bar area. Yummy cocktails. Our room and bathroom were spacious and had an iron and hairdryer. Didn't like the digital check in as it had a glitch which meant we couldn't get our room number and had to wait a long time at reception as staff were very busy. Our room was clean but the windows of our room were filthy so hard to see out well. Some of soft furnishings tired and worn ."

"Stayed in this hotel many years ago. It's ideally located, clean, responsive and helpful staff. Well positioned for next door carparking. Quality place to stay, it's a little tired in a few places, but that's being a bit picky. Very worthwhile using this hotel."

"Great location opposite Bristol Hippodrome. Clean, comfortable & spacious room - was upgraded to higher floor and was so quiet. Great views. Breakfast decent. Staff friendly, lift speedy , good value for money."

"Really good room with huge bed, and an extra convertible sofa as well. Strangely configured bathroom, which was ok if not perfect. Breakfast was characterised by the huge choice. The cooked goods weren’t the best, but the choice of cold and sweet items made up for it. Car park is a short walk, and the slip road entrance easy to miss, it well lit and very modern. The hotel is very well positioned, and generally a well run city centre establishment. Sadly to shortly to be rebranded."
