We've just come back from a lovely bank holiday stay. The rooms were clean and airy with everything you could need. The bed was very comfortable and the shower had great pressure. The staff were very friendly. Our dog was very much welcomed and looked after too.

The evening meal was was expensive but good. The wine prices were prohibitive. We only wanted glasses from the per glass list but bought a bottle which was good but the per glass price was obviously designed to make us do that. Everyone on the staff is excellent, and the food delicious. We have stayed before and will again. The gardens are a treat, so well looked after, and the gardener is such an asset, we had good conversations with him about his work, and his ethos for the garden, many ideas to take home.

We really liked the character of the hotel. Our room was lovely. The staff were all very friendly and helpful, it felt very relaxed to be there. We ate at Montey's Bar (16 of us). They took very good care of us and everyone enjoyed their food. Great breakfast too. We would happily book again.
