Rayburn Resorts is an outstanding place to stay. Staff was very friendly and helpful and room was always stocked and very clean. View was amazing! Excellent location, close to all restaurants, stores and boat ramp. You will not be disappointed with this facility, staff and location. Excellent!

A Great Place to Visit

The staff were great and had great customer service and the room was clean and comfortable. The restaurant staff was great and friendly and the food was very good. I would recommend my friends and family to visit here for dinner or a vacation

Everything was clean, the staff was friendly, the coffee bar was amazing. The beds could use some work, they were mushy, in fact one had a broken frame that had been repaired, but still sagged in the middle.

Out of the way resort

Not what I was expecting. Nothing was open-no pool, restaurant, or anything on a Monday. Took longer to get there than expected- out of our way. Room was comfortable.

This would have been a nice stay if we hadn't been evacuating from a hurricane. This was a basic cabin with a kitchenette. The problems I found were as follows: the lamp beside the bed didn't work, there was only one bulb in the kitchen light so it was too dim to read in bed. There was a coffee maker with filters but no coffee pot. The toilet lid was busted. The shower was pathetic. If this had been a pleasure trip, maybe I wouldn't have been so bothered by these things. The area was very nice. It was also pet friendly, which was a plus!

Excellent experience

I came into town for a bass tournament and chose this venue so my wife could enjoy while I was fishing. We both had an amazing time. The staff was accommodating and super friendly. The food and drinks were amazing both at the club restaurant and at Sammy Rays. Amanda, Sydney, and Kourtney did an amazing job while we wined and dined. We stayed at the lodge and the rooms were very cozy, the bed was so comfortable I wanted to take it with me. The rooms were very clean and well kept and the a/c was blowing nice and cold. One minor inconvenience was that a construction crew hit a water main a few hours before our check-in which meant the resort did not have water. That issue was resolved quickly and as I said, it was merely a minor inconvenience for us. The water was back on by 10pm that night. All around excellent experience besides that minor hiccup. We are definitely planning our next stay here when we are back in the area.

Strong First Impression Quickly Dispelled

The property has invested quite a bit in the central check-in, conference center, coffee shop, and restaurant (and gate at the marina). It was inviting and lively with both golf & fishing tournaments going on. We had to stop & ask a guest where to check-in since registration was not one of the many signs posted. We were greeted at the front desk by . . . no one. After waiting a few minutes and being looked at by the restaurant hostesses, I asked one of them if I could get some assistance checking in. A few minutes later, someone appeared. She checked in only to say that I was staying at the marina which was a drive down the road. She couldn’t verbally give me directions and asked for my phone to plug in directions. It had been a long driving day in stormy Texas weather, so I chalked it all up to being fatigued. Then, I was informed of the excessive dog fee - 3 to 4 times what was on the website. We finally found the marina & our room, despite the poor instructions. The plus - it was extremely peaceful and in a beautiful spot. The room was as pictured although you couldn’t see the rust on the outside of the refrigerator, the fallen burners on the stove, and the mops hanging in the bathroom. Overall, the room was dirty - floor, dishes, etc.
