The Moxy of Moxie

The staff was very helpful especially with figuring out the bike/scooter situation. The weather was beautiful and having the balcony was phenomenal. Even the bar and food near the lobby were terrific.

Very nice place to stay, close to lots of places v

It was very good hotel, nice staff, very clean property and rooms. Only one incident which we were unhappy is that they did not clean the room one day and claim we told them that, which was not correct, other then this it was very nice stay and everything else was perfect.

Family stay in Belgium for the week

We were so pleasantly surprised with the quality of our stay at the Moxy. The room and shower were big, the hotel was super clean and the service was excellent. Also, the buffet breakfast is well worth the price! Recommend and would stay again. Thanks Moxy!

This is a boutique hotel but has all the main amenities including a restaurant, snack/coffee /drinks bar and small gym. Our room was very comfortable and spacious - good for 2 adults and 2 kids. WiFi was fast and reliable.

Great location!

It is a little tricky to find, because it sits back a little from the main street. The location was perfect. We were able to walk to see some tourist sights. The games in the common room are a great added touch.

We had booked a family room but there was an issue due to which it wasn’t available when we checked in but we were offered two double rooms with balcony access and complementary breakfast. Rooms were very clean and well maintained. Thoroughly enjoyed the stay at the hotel

Average experience

Very limited amenities excluding basic items such as hand and body lotion, I asked for this to be provided and my request was ignored. Stayed at other moxys and have not experienced this. TV also did not connect to my devices unfortunately Location is good if you want to go shopping nearby and a long walk into the city centre for the Christmas markets.Quite far from Brussels Midi Station

Good for one day stay nothing more

This is a 3 wtar hotel where onr is expected to do much yourself. The bteakfast buffet is not worth the money as its the same ans no cabhges typical bacpn, scfambled egg, fried potato, cerails, baguett, cheese and some ham. There are juice and coffe. Plus you can make your own mini beglium waffle. Which doesnt taste good. Staff was helpful. Rooms and bathrooms are very small and cramped, there are no safe nor room service. There is a fitness center which we dodnt use. The hotel was located 30 min walk from grand place.

On out little trip around europe, we booked Moxy Frankfurt, then onto Moxy Brussels, we paid for Breakfast in both, it stated Breakfast starts at 6.30am, which was perfect for us, as we had early trains to catch, No issues with the frankfurt accommodation, but when we went down at 6.30 at Moxy Brussels, we got told due to it being a weekend Breakfast starts at 7am. I mentioned we had to leave hotel at 6.50 and had paid for breakfast. Reply back was it opens at 7am, so nothing they can do. No alternative was offered like muffins, or even a refund.

Was an ok room & experience, just not as professional as we are used to. The door didn’t open correctly & caused a black eye & injury that was ignored by management. Which is pretty unacceptable in our book. Not in the best of area for anything else really either.

The staff make it

My husband and I really enjoyed our stay here. Location is perfect, lots of bars and restaurants locally plus a bus right outside and a tube station about a 7 minute walk away. The breakfast was very good and had everything you could wish for. It initially seems excessive at €18 each but we found Brussels to be quite expensive, so eating elsewhere isn’t really any cheaper. The rooms were really spacious and the shower was great. Only a couple of small niggles….we could have done with extra pillow (there is only 1 each). Also, if you prefer to have the window open rather than the AC on, you struggle overnight as the bed has an automatic light which detects movement. Therefore if the curtains are open to let air in, any movement outside this keeps tripping the light. All in all though, we really liked the hotel and the staff really can’t do enough for you. They were fantastic. As were the free welcome drinks!

The reception staff were fantastic. Friendly, welcoming & helpful in a really relaxed way. I would stay again purely because of the staff. The balcony rooms (504) were perfect, caught the afternoon sun and stayed bright even after the sun dropped behind nearby buildings. Got indirect sunlight in the morning because of the side of the hotel I was on. Comfortable bed, working AC, good sized shower with good pressure, bathroom was tiny but useable. I am a fan of the Moxy brand but one massive improvement over other another Moxy hotel I’d stayed at was that the Brussels had a kettle. The chromecast wasn’t working but it was so minor I didn’t even ask the hotel staff to fix it, just spent more time on the balcony, I had 2 cocktails while at the hotel & both were delicious, and well made. I didn’t have dinner or breakfast so cannot review but did have dessert. My only feedback was that the moelleux wasn’t the best, but nearby diners raved about the other options.

Broken thermostat, rude staff

We booked this hotel for 2 nights. The first night, despite setting the A/C to 18C, it would never cool the room below 24.5C and, in fact, stopped working. When we contacted the front desk, they dismissively told us to wait for 2 hours. I calmly and patiently explained that we had set it 4 hours prior, and the temperature had not come down since then. They sent a technician, who explained - possibly erroneously - that you could only have a delta/difference in temperature of 2 degrees between the room temperature and desired temperature. So we set the thermostat to 23C - two hours later, the temperature was still 24.5. We continued to apprise the front desk of the problem. In response, the front desk agent would sigh, groan, and cut us off when we were explaining what was going on. I have been to literally hundreds of hotels around the world, and have never once experienced such a lack of professionalism. We calmly stated that it was not unreasonable to expect air conditioning to work, especially when it was very warm outside (over 30C). When they promised to send up a technician a second time, and didn't (after waiting over 2 hours), we decided to move to another hotel in Brussels (Thon Hotel Stephanie) - we experienced absolutely none of the thermostat or rudeness issues there. We contacted Hotels.com to seek a refund since we didn't spend our second night there. The answer from the hotel was silence.
