Right in the centre of the town, so very handy for travel and eating. Self-check went well with easy opening of doors using phone. Room was comfortable and shower was great. Free breakfast items and hot drinks were a nice touch.
The mobile check-in and door key system worked well but is a bit daunting to start. On international roaming, I worry about losing cell signal at the critical moment. Parking was easy and free. Entrance and room very clean and well maintained. Kitchenette with selfserve coffee and croissants was a nice touch.
Great cheap (for Switzerland) place to stay! Completely unstaffed you check in and open all the doors etc using a webpage. Room spotlessly clean and tidy. Nice touch was the free hot drinks and croissants. Would definitely stay here again.
Spacious rooms with comfortable beds, but in a noisy location (bring ear plugs). The self-checking process is tedious and cumbersome, and we got locked out for our second night. We had to call the central reservation system to get back into our rooms. On the plus side is the 24-hour self-serve coffee & tea station, with croissants in the morning.
Checked in was a breeze. It was a self checked in and no reception or anything but once you entered your confirmation # from booking, your key to your room will dispense like an ATM card.
This place provided a great stay. We just had a minor issue figuring out how to check ourselves in because no body was on site. It was a self checkin. But once we did, it was a piece of cake.
Checkin was absolutely terrible. The kiosk wasn't working correctly and this caused a 45min delay in getting into our room as well as several phone calls to getthe situation resolved.
The room was as expected, very simple with no real amenities. The room was very clean. The coffee machine was great and the croissants were excellent.
Nice, comfortable and clean place. Parking in the basement. Self check-in. There are fruits, hot and cold drinks in the common kitchen.
The only thing we couldn't find was the main entrance to the hotel and any information about where we should go. So we had to call hotels customer service and ask where the entrance was, which was on the other side of the building.
When I checked in, I was initially nervous as there wasn’t actually a front desk with staff. I thought, what if something goes wrong. I still don’t have an answer for that, but the stay turned out to be lovely. Nothing did go wrong, and I expect to see more staff-less hotels like this in the future. The check-in takes place at an electronic kiosk on the 2nd floor, where your key card is printed. A very easy process.
The room was very basic — no safe, fridge, telephone, kettle, or even a cup — but clean, with thick, crisp towels provided. It was also quite spacious for a twin room. The standout feature was its exceptional cleanliness; both the room and bathroom were spotless, exceeding even 5-star hotel standards, which was particularly reassuring for someone with OCD. However, housekeeping missed some cigarette stubs left by previous guests in the window sill. The stubs are still there.
The bed, while firm, offered great lumbar support and caused no backache during a week-long stay, contrary to some complaints about it being too hard. The in-house coffee lived up to the rave reviews — strong and enjoyable.
During an autumn stay, the room’s ventilation became a trade-off: opening the windows allowed fresh air in but also brought street noise. The double-glazed windows provide silence when closed, but I chose fresh air over quiet. If you are bothered by the noise, prepare ear plugs. It can get really noisy when the windows are open.
Lastly, the hotel was very responsive to messages via the Hotels.com app, which added to the positive experience. Overall, despite the lack of amenities, the cleanliness, space, and service made it a place worth returning to.
Note: Prepare your booking number sent in an email from the hotel for self-check-in. I couldn't figure out what it was until I got in using other information. Else, prepare to stand outside the door and struggle.
Disrespect to customers with dysfunction of automa
The rooms are enough big and clean.
The motel is in a business center with too much noise untill late night from the shops around.
The Check-in was automatic, the electronic system was not working, three passengers on 19:00 o'clock were behind the door for 45 minutes and no one came to help us. It was totally rude and impolite to behave to the passengers, who have paid and expect respect. It was really a shame for such a motel system. At the end even no apologies. It was terrible!

Liked: Cleanliness
Disliked: Staff & service
Pros:
Room and bedding were clean enough.
Self check-in was easy.
Free parking was nice
Cons:
There are several street cafes in and around the building. They are quite noisy late into the evening (until 1am) and the room does not have AC or even a fan, so you need to decide between quiet or a cool room, you don't get both.
The free coffee room and breakfast 2 go were locked in the morning and our room card didn't open the door.
If there's an issue it's impossible to communicate with any staff. There are none on premise and they don't answer their phone or reply to emails in a timely manner.

Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service, amenities
Hotel was conveniently located a short walk from the bus/train stations. Restaurants and shops all at the door. Check in and out was all contactless. Room was very good in size and had a large bathroom. It was all very clean. Would recommend.
Very unique, quirky hotel with self check-in. No frills, but also half the price of any other hotel in Buchs. Has a dorm/hostel type feel but with your own bathroom. No a/c and we were here during some warm August days, so needed to open the windows and the street could be loud, but somehow we still slept very soundly. If you're looking for convenience, cleanliness, and value, this is your place. If you're looking for customer service and luxury, you may be happier elsewhere. We liked it.
