The hotel is beautiful. It is a historic building, very well restored to a hotel. Every detail is great. The restaurant is very good too. The only thing is that the roof top bar should open earlier than 6pm, because it is a great view from there, and at night, you see half of it.

The staff at this hotel are amazing! When we checked out early in the morning, my 9-year-old daughter suddenly felt hungry and went into the breakfast area. Even though our last night didn’t include breakfast, the staff kindly gave us two boxes so she could take some food with her — such a thoughtful and heartwarming gesture. Everyone we met, from the restaurant staff to the porters who helped with our luggage, was warm, friendly, and professional. I’ve been to Budapest twice, and this is by far my favorite hotel. Highly recommended!

Beautiful Hotel

Beautiful hotel with an amazing rooftop bar/restaurant. Very friendly staff and in a great location. Lots of shops and restaurants around. Thermal bats are about a 15 min walk away.

I stayed at Matild Palace and had an excellent experience. The staff handled a misunderstanding with my room efficiently and upgraded me to a spacious, well-designed room with a balcony and the bathtub I originally requested. The room was clean, comfortable, and finished to a high luxury standard. Housekeeping was attentive and added small evening touches that enhanced the stay. The hotel’s spa facilities are well-maintained, quiet, and aesthetically designed, with a relaxation area, hammam, steam and dry saunas, and refreshments available throughout the day. Check-in and check-out were smooth, and the reception staff were professional, helpful, and informative. The property is centrally located, and the rooftop bar offers impressive views of the city and the Danube, with knowledgeable and welcoming staff. Overall, Matild Palace delivers the level of service, aesthetics, and comfort expected from a true luxury hotel.
