Welcome to Heidelberg .. This charming German town was virtually untouched by WW II destruction. The only reported damage was the town bridge seen here. It was blown up in a small section by the German Army when they retreated from the invading western forces. This view is from the Heidenberg Castle overlooking the Marketplace.
