With popular Buxton just 4 miles away, guests can enjoy the market town’s many attractions, events and shopping facilities. Walkers will never tire of the many routes available on this property’s doorstep, which explore the heart of the Peak District National Park. Visit Chatsworth and Haddon Hall, and the National Trust’s Hardwick Hall, all of which have starred in BBC period dramas and historical films. Cycle hire is available on the many popular traffic-free cycle paths that meander through the stunning national park countryside.

    Inside, the property has been designed with a reverse-level layout to make the most of the beautiful views from the reception rooms. On the ground floor are the two bedrooms, one with a king-size bed, the twin with two singles. Both rooms, which share a shower room with WC, enjoy plenty of rustic charm from the wooden floorboards, exposed beams and traditional windows. Upstairs on the first floor, you will find the spacious open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner. This beautifully spacious room is where you will spend most of your time - it boasts wooden floorboards, exposed beams, ceiling trusses and brickwork. The kitchen area has been fitted with colourful splashback tiles and offers everything you should need throughout your stay with an electric oven and hob, fridge, freezer, dishwasher and washing machine. There is a good-sized dining table and spacious lounge area beyond with comfy sofas ideally placed to take in the surrounding countryside views or to sit and watch a bit of evening TV.

    On sunny days, guests can enjoy sitting outside at the front of the property where a traditional dry-stone wall borders a patio area with picnic table. There is ample off-road parking.
