Nestled on a little over seven acres in the East Texas countryside, our cozy cabin offers a peaceful escape from the everyday and a return to simpler times. Surrounded by pines, oaks, sweetgums, native plants, and grasses, it's a place where wildlife abounds and the sounds of nature soothe the soul. A place to slow down, reconnect, and enjoy the simple pleasures of being outdoors.
The property has been intentionally left largely in its natural state, allowing the woods, wildflowers, wild berries, and wildlife to take center stage. Deer, birds, and other woodland creatures are frequent visitors, and every season brings something new to discover.
Inside, the cabin offers a cozy and inviting space with rustic charm and the comforts of home. The open-concept living, kitchen, and dining area provides a comfortable place to gather, while the main sleeping loft features a king-size bed overlooking the living space below. A twin bunk bed is tucked into a cozy nook just off the living area, and a single bathroom includes a walk-in shower.
Step outside onto the covered porch, where rocking chairs invite you to sit a while and enjoy the sights and sounds of nature. A separate open deck features a gas grill, while a nearby picnic table offers a place for outdoor dining. As the day winds down, gather around the fire pit in, relax under the stars, or enjoy a soothing soak in the hot tub. Heated by a traditional wood-burning stove, the cedar hot tub offers a simple, hands-on experience that invites you to slow down and savor the moment.
Whether you're planning a romantic weekend, a quiet retreat, or a few days exploring East Texas, Seven Acres offers a chance to get away without having to go far.
Come for the Cabin! Stay for the peace and quiet!
What to Expect:
Our Cabin is set in a natural, mixed wooded and grassland type environment, insects and wildlife are part of the experience and should be anticipated, especially during seasonal changes, warmer weather and evening hours. Lights in and around the cabin can attract insects at night and into the cabin if doors or windows are left open. Nighttime visitors are also likely if food or trash is left out. Though we routinely treat for pests in and around the Cabin, we encourage guests to dress appropriately, use bug repellent, and keep doors and windows closed when needed. Trash and food should be kept inside or in the bins provided outside.
Due to prolonged dry conditions and below-normal rainfall in our area, the pond's water level and overall condition have been affected. Canoeing, kayaking, and fishing opportunities may be limited depending on conditions during your stay.
