Lovely colonial boutique in Cabo Frío!

I loved the low key colonial vibe, just next to a quite part of the shore, close to small fishing boats. Amazing drinks, great pool and a very nice breakfast. Also loads of great restaurants and beaches close by. Would definitely recommend!

We loved our stay at Hotel Solar do Arco and Cabo Frio as a wider area. We really enjoyed the facilities - lounging by the pool and reading in the main terrace was a particular highlight for me. We had a great breakfast each morning, and the staff were incredibly friendly and approachable. We would love to come back here again and would recommend the hotel to our friends!

The hotel is a small beautiful boutique hotel that is beautifully decorated with a great location overlooking the Itajuru canal. We were fortunate to get an upgrade to a lovely suite. The staff are very welcoming and helpful. The breakfast was nice and the restaurant food was amazing so we ate there all 3 days of our stay. There are many restaurants close by. The beach is about a 10 minute walk.

Super hotel. Friendly helpful staff. (Especially Marcelo at reception) wonderful breakfast. Very nice poll area. Probably the best hotel I’ve stayed at for a long time. Would definitely come back.

Excellent hotel within walking distance of restaurants bars shops. The only thing I wasn't pleased with, was that the key ring had a little broomlike attachment that they required you to keep on the key. If you didn't want to carry it, you had to leave the key at the front desk.

You simply cannot find a more attractive little boutique hotel (pousada) than Solar do Arco. Super stylish, quaint, Portuguese-inspired architecture. Wonderful staff, very good breakfast and parking just next door. Dining options abound. The room was well appointed and the A/C was quiet and appeared to be brand new. I'm going back!

O café da manhã merece atenção. No segundo dia, fui gentilmente questionado pela atendente da recepção se estava tudo bem. Respondi, de forma educada e construtiva, que senti falta de um espresso ou cappuccino e que os ovos mexidos foram servidos frios e excessivamente passados, comprometendo a experiência. Comentei ainda que, como empresário, compreendo a importância do controle de custos, mas acredito que essas melhorias dependeriam muito mais de ajustes de gestão e treinamento da equipe do que de investimentos relevantes. No dia seguinte, porém, ao caminhar pelo corredor do hotel, por mera coincidência, ouvi a mesma colaboradora criticando a minha observação. Para minha surpresa, ela fez julgamentos desrespeitosos e chegou a afirmar que eu “não deveria reclamar, pois havia adquirido a diária com desconto”. Confesso que fiquei bastante constrangido. Independentemente do valor pago pela diária, todo hóspede merece ser tratado com respeito e ter suas observações recebidas de forma profissional, especialmente quando são feitas de maneira cordial e com a intenção de contribuir para a melhoria do serviço. Acredito que essa postura reflita uma atitude individual da colaboradora, e não a cultura do hotel, razão pela qual faço este registro de forma respeitosa e construtiva. Espero que a administração tome conhecimento do ocorrido e adote as medidas necessárias para que nenhum outro hóspede passe por constrangimento semelhante. Deixei de me sentir à vontade no hotel.

O hotel é lindo e as instalações estão numa casa centenária o que dá mais charme ao hotel. Os funcionários são extremamente educados e prestativos. O quarto é confortável e a decoração é muito bonita. Adoramos e pretendemos voltar. E fica no melhor local da Cabo Frio, no bairro da Passagem, aonde tem vários bares e restaurantes literalmente ao lado do hotel, e a próximo à praia do Forte.
