This two-story retreat boasts seven spacious bedrooms and five bathrooms, comfortably accommodating up to 17 guests. The property is conveniently situated near Historic downtown Cadiz, Kentucky, where you can explore antique shops and experience genuine Southern hospitality.

Please be aware that this home is nestled in a wooded lakeside neighborhood, so encountering bugs during nighttime outdoor activities is to be expected. Additionally, the driveway is quite steep, but there's parking available for up to three cars at the bottom, making it accessible for elderly guests. Great family get away!!

This place was perfect for family. The grandkids had so much fun swimming off the dock and plenty of room to spread out in the house. We had perfect weather and enjoyed relaxing on the porches.

Great property with entrainment for all

Enjoyed the lake all day and able to come back to the dock and enjoy lake views from the porch. Kids fished from dock and played games on lower level. Lots of space and beds for a large group.

Family rejuvenation

After loosing a brother in a horrific act this past September the family needed time alone to heal and also my parents 50th weeding anniversary weekend to celebrate this was the perfect location and they all want to return next year to do it again thank you

Great place for our annual family reunion

The kids loved going down to the "lake" (technically a river inlet) and having campfires. The number of rooms and beds were great. We have a lot of single people in the family so a few queen beds won't cut it for our group. This house had plenty of beds. The kids even switched beds each night to try them all. Definitely a place we'll consider for future reunions.

Happy Family

We had a wonderful time with plenty of room for our family of 13 adults and 4 toddlers. Loved sitting on the back deck in the evenings. Shannon and Jeff weren’t kidding about the steep driveway and long walk down to the dock - made a good workout! The area was great and being very close to the marina came in handy. Wonderful place for large families with lots of children, Youth retreat would be wonderful

Lots of beds and fun games. As advertised steep driveway. Very steep, hard for us seniors that stayed to walk down or up. We had several cars and could fit two in driveway. Outside patio's were not cleaned at all. Dishwasher was broken, hard for us seniors washing dishes. We were there for reunion at Lake barkley, was much further than expected according to listing. 15 minute drive, not bad, but both ways if we needed to run back was disappointed. House was clean inside, but you are near woods so bugs were around.

Our Doctor's real Laze and Enjoy Retreat

We a group of friends and family members had organized this trip for our Doctor who wanted to laze and enjoy after his hectic COVID service, this was his real retreat. All of us enjoyed the beautiful thought out property design, layout and well maintained. From going to the lake and fishing to doing the evening camp fires on the lake shore. From cooking our favorites dishes and eating both on the lovely square lazy susan dining tabe (Which I have it for decades in my home) and the beautiful veranda breeze, to playing table tennis to enjoying our games of Jenga, sequence, and UNO in the beautiful center sitting hall. The only downside was the weather rain which spoiled a little of our plans but there was a lot of indoor activities which compensated for that. The Best was Shannon and Jeff's virtual hospitality service anything we asked for there was an instant response. The messages were detail with clarity. Thanks Shannon And Jeff for the drinks you offered for free.

Beautiful home

First pulling up the house is very nice! The drive way is VERY STEEP and was a bit scary backing down it. The house was amazing and the view spectacular!

Ladies Christmas weekend retreat

Enjoyed our girls weekend, we was disappointed with the Cabin, it truly needs a room to room cleaning. Mattress slept well, living space was big enough for our group, kitchen/ dining was well stocked and seated everyone, They had plenty of bath towels and wash clothes. Deck needed cleaning to set out and enjoy the outdoors, during mid day, fireplace in living room would have been nice to be able to use at night but was not available to use. We had a great weekend over all in the cabin, just was disappointed with the cleanliness of the cabin.

Very comfy beds and plenty of them

We loved the house overall. We were surprised by how steep the driveway was then had some difficulties getting the coded lock to open but one of our group eventually got it. Once we got in we were very impressed with the spaciousness and comfort of the house. The beds were all really comfy and the showers were great. We also had some trouble getting the gas grill to work but then just ended up cooking on the stove instead and eating out the 2nd night instead. We really only spent time sleeping here since we spent our days riding UTV’s at Turkey Bay. It was a great space that was available when we needed it. We’d love to come back and spend some time on the lake as well. Thanks for sharing your house with us!!

Family getaway!

This trip was exactly what we needed! The host had excellent communication, and we couldn’t have asked for a better stay. The house was large enough to fit our extended family, and the lake was great! Such a wonderful vacation with some great memories!

Lovely home in a beautiful location

This was an absolutely lovely home and perfect for our needs. We absolutely loved the patios and the dock and took advantage of the kayaks to explore the lake. There were plenty of beds - which made some of the rooms cramped, but lots of beds is a major reason we chose this home. The home was also well stocked - a laundry room with plenty of spare bedding and towels, a kitchen with all the major gadgets and a few less popular ones, and seating in multiple areas. There were a few quirky/upkeep things that made it less than perfectly comfortable (e.g. the thermostat responses to settings was confusing and would regularly reset; the front screen door could use some TLC; one of the rooms had the vents closed, making for a very cold night), but they were all minor enough that I didn't feel justified knocking off a star. All in all we had a wonderful visit and we already have family members asking to go back!

Amazing Thanksgiving get together

This house was perfect for our family reunion and Thanksgiving get together. In total we had 9 adults, 2 teens, 2 pre-teens, and 1 elementary age child. The house was clean and nicely decorated. There were tons of handy bonuses, such as buffet crock pots, lots of kitchen gadgets, etc. We had a little trouble with the smoke detectors and the main TV. Home owners tried to trouble shoot them for us, but we ended up doing without the big game on Thanksgiving. The back decks and the bunk beds could use some maintenance, as the bunks were very wobbly and the back decks had some nail/screws that appeared to be pulling out. I wouldn't exactly trust the railings to prevent a fall until they're attended to. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay and would absolutely consider a repeat of all the family is available again. And yes, to echo others, the driveway is steeper than you'll imagine. We cleared the wet fallen leaves from it before driving or walking on it to be sure there were no issues with sliding.
