A great place to stay.

Very high level of service, so nice staff. you can feel that the hotel is getting older but for my one night stay it was perfect. the bed was nice and maybe only thing was the radiator, it was so hot and had to sleep with the window open as you can't change it. the souroundings are stunning.

Cahir House

I arrived about 9.30pm, unfortunately couldn’t get any food when I arrived and being celiac it took walking around the village and going to 6 different restaurants/take aways to find anything I could eat. Also the heating in our room didn’t seem to be working at all and the room was freezing. The room itself was lovely and the breakfast in the morning was lovely, the staff were all very friendly.

Great staff but the rooms are well past their best

As mentioned on previous reviews, staff were great. breakfast room was also recently done out and service was good. Room however was so tired, i mean really past its best. looked like most of them were the same or similar. walls patchy, mattress shot and carpets stained. It gave off a dirty feel. needs a whole re-fit. Also on one page its listed as having AC in the room, it definitely doesn't.

Pre purchased two double rooms but on arrival, tried to tell me I had one single and one double. With some insistence, they gave us two rooms, but one room had only scalding hot water with no cold water so shower wasn’t usable. Can’t drink water and had to go to bar for a pitcher of water. Reminder—no elevator but did carry our luggage up stairs.

Quaint village

Cute little hotel in old-time Irish town. Excellent stay. Especially when you realize, it stood as a castle.
