Lovely stay! I had my 5 month old labrador pup with me and he loved it too. Friendly staff, beautiful location and great breakfast. Will definitely book again!
Beautiful setting, luxurious accommodation - the little private garden was a wonderful bonus, and excellent customer service. Just a really lovely experience all round.
It was lovely, very quiet, the room was lovely, clean and all round enjoyable. The breakfast in the morning was lovely and the lady serving us was very helpful and kind.
I stayed in one the cottages and it was super; clean, cosy & warm and designed to a high standard. The private garden a great addition. The restaurant and food is good quality and I thought priced reasonably. Chilham is a pretty village and the White Horse Inn is also super for a drink with the locals. Canterbury is a short drive, or train journey so a great place if you want to visit the city but be in the country. I loved it.
Very easy to locate and convenient both as a village base and to visit nearby venues. Warm welcome. Quick check in and check out. Good choice of food. Quiet. Nice room. Thoroughly enjoyed the stay.
Nice welcome, great room recently refurbished. Staff friendly and helpful. Noisy guests in adjoining room highlighted thin walls in upstairs bedrooms. Nice breakfast. Cannot understand the need to pay the night before leaving when credit card provided in advance?

We had a good stay, the pub is lovely! The decor is stunning and very cosy and the food, including breakfast was amazing! The owners are so friendly and welcoming. The room had everything we needed and was very comfortable. We had one very lovely quiet evening and would have put 4 stars if it had stayed that way. But the second night there was a loud group staying in the hotel, and there is no sound proofing, with wooden floors / ceiling you could hear every step and creak and their entire conversation. We loved everything else about our stay but the noise was too much. Would ask for a room with no one above us next time.
I arrived quite late so did not use the bar of restaurant, however in the morning did find a gorgeous ambience, very Christmassy now to. My room 14 was in stable block, unfortunately fir me i was above the washing machine so between 22:45 & 01:30 my sleep was broken each time it hut a spin cycle with a loud tapping from corner of the room. The room however was stunning, beautiful decor throughout. The bathroom taps need switching over and was advised could drink tap water so when it ran hot i thought it was maybe as it was next to radiator, then realised hot ran cold. Bathroom is compact but very adequate, im not small size 18, but it could be a bit cramped for someone bigger. Bed was comfy, breakfast good, coffee bit brewed and bitter but woke me up for the ling day ahead.
Our family room was extremely old and run down. Spiders and cobwebs everywhere. The carpet was totally filthy. It stank horribly, so that it burned the lungs. Breakfast is only available from 8 am. As we had to get to the Eurotunnel earlier, we tried to get something to eat at 7.30 a.m., but this was not approved, although everything was already laid out and ready. The only thing to recommend is the restaurant in the evening, which unfortunately is not the point here. It's great and very tasty.
Absolutely perfect nights stay
Dinner and breakfast was excellent, room very comfy, lovely extra touches, staff very caring, friendly, beautiful village
We were given an upgraded room at check-in, and asked to pay a £10 charge for an extra cleaning charge for our dog. I was expecting this charge as Expedia don't give an option for paying for it when booking online.
We dropped our bags in room and went out for a walk, on return we had a drink in the bar and went into restaurant for our evening meal which we both found uninspiring, especially the desserts.
Returning to room I went to make
