Honeymoon

The house itself was so spacious and laid out nicely. The neighborhood was delightfully quiet and had great things to do. We loved being able to use the pool to cool off and the hot tub was also a great addition. Ingrid was so great to communicate with and she made sure to check in if we had questions. I would recommend this place for a quiet and relaxing stay! It checked off all the boxes you want for an amazing stay.

Great little getaway!

My husband and I stayed here as a little getaway. We did a whole lot of nothing and it was heaven! The pool was perfect, the view was spectacular, and the bed was absolutely divine. Very quiet neighborhood and great communication with Ingrid! Can’t wait to go back.

We absolutely had the best vacation at this beautiful home. The hosts Jerry and Ingrid were 10/10 amazing. The pool -the hot tub-the views..all stunning. The bed was super comfy..and the house was so clean. We will definitely return lovely area and neighborhood also. Super private and just an overall outstanding time. Would recommend this 100% to any and everyone!

Sunny Paradise

Excellent property. Perfect pool. Relaxing hot tub. New tempurpedic mattress in the master. Amazing panoramic views of the lake from anywhere on the lanai. Tvs in both bedrooms plus a large screen in the living room. Numerous channels to pick from. Nice large sectional for 5, with recliners for 4. Very cozy and homelike place to stay for a quiet little getaway.

Fantastic Villa, beautiful location

The Blue Pelican is a wonderful home from home with everything that you could wish for. Outstanding location close to all facilities and easy access to the Gulf, Fort Myers, Pine Island and Sanibel. The Villa is extremely well equipped and you will want for nothing. The host is very attentive and offers advice about anything you need help with

Gorgeous sunset views

My wife and I loved the sunset views from the pool and how quiet the neighborhood was. Very nice house and Ingrid was very thorough and understanding. We would definitely recommend this house to our family and friends.

Wonderful Vacation!!!

Throughly enjoyed everything about the Blue Pelican! Right on the lake and views from the pool and hot tub are incredible. Wife enjoyed laying out on the dock everyday. We grilled and ate at the table by the pool frequently. Everything was very clean and home is well furnished. And Ingrid was a terrific host. Our stay couldn’t have been better!

5-star private resort with unbelievable views

This exceeded all my expectations from the pool/hot tub deck, to the lake dock, the spectacular views, and the perfectly appointed and decorated home. The host could not have been sweeter and more accommodating. Such a wonderful Cape Coral gem.

Beautiful getaway!!!

This was our third, yes third time we’ve been to the Blue Pelican and it never disappoints. We spent the entire time outside in the beautiful pool area. The sunsets were amazing!!! The host Ingrid is awesome and super fast to respond to any questions/requests. We can’t wait to come back again.

Little Slice of Heaven

We didn't want to leave this gorgeous home in such a lovely location. The house is so welcoming and comfortable and then you step outside and the view takes your breath away, you just have to gaze across the water watching the ospreys and the sunsets. Quiet, peaceful but very close to good quality amenities. Thank you both.

What a beautiful place!

Well furnished , well equipped and clean! Beautiful water views from most rooms bring the outside in. Close to fun eateries and only about 30 min from the airport. What more could you want? Also owner and property custodian were nice to work with and accommodation for early check-in was quickly granted...

The Blue Pelican

A Perfect Gem

The Blue Pelican is every bit a five star property! We enjoyed a peaceful, relaxing week in this lovely home. The screened in pool deck with heated pool, hot tub, and comfortable seating options made a perfect spot to while away the hours. We especially enjoyed watching the sun set over the lake. We did run into an unfortunate setback upon arrival, a problem which the owner worked diligently to resolve as quickly as possible. You will find the owner more than responsive to your needs. If you choose to stay at the Blue Pelican I’m sure you will be more than happy with your choice.

A true blessing

Such a great stay that we did not want to leave. Ingrid was a great host and made us feel like part of the family. She is extremely organized and very attentive to both this beautiful home and its guest. The house is incredible and very clean. The lanai area was very relaxing and the perfect place to end the day watching the sunset over the water. We hope to get a chance to return one day.

A perfect place to stay!!!

I had a good feeling when we booked the Blue Pelican a couple of months ago. But when we actually got there, all of our expectations were absolutely exceeded! This is a superb place to be with a family and two kids! Great pool, great pool area, nice jacuzzi (which is actually not necessary in the hot summer). Nice living room with a big TV. A garage for the car is very nice to have. We were very, very satisfied and would always come back. Thank you, Ingrid, for being a perfect host!

Superb well equipped home from home

Ingrid has been a fantastic host who has been so informative and responsive from initial enquiry right through until departure!! The property is spacious, well equipped and immaculately presented with attention to detail by Ingrid and Jerry very noticeable. The rear of the property has probably the best deck area we have ever had in 25 years of visiting Florida overlooking a large peaceful lake full of all sorts of wildlife. Sunsets are perfectly unobstructed due to the minimalist lanai. Thank you Ingrid and Jerry you are offering a special accommodation well situated for discovering South West Florida!

One of the Best!

Of all the vacation rentals we’ve had in Cape, this is by far the best. 5 star experience all around! The home was spotless clean when we arrived, everything worked and you felt at home immediately. Ingrid was the star of the show, she communicated promptly and was the best host we have ever had. You can tell she cares about the home and the experience deeply. The pool was great to relax in after a day at the beach and the view over the lake is beautiful. Very quiet neighborhood which is close to everything in south CC. Check-in was a breeze. Kitchen is very well equipped with more than enough to cook any meal. The outdoor grill was a treat to BBQ on a couple nights as well! We highly recommend this property to anyone who wants to vacation in the Cape!

The pictures do not give it justice!

Things we loved: 1) Lots of privacy from the road. You felt you were in your own private oasis! 2) A ton of information is waiting for you right when you walk in. 3) We loved the way Ingrid communicated and checked on us through our stay. 4) We did not even want to leave our little oasis...we absolutely loved the pool, and jacuzzi. Not to mention the VIEW! 5) The home came stocked with anything and everything you would ever need. Even a pizza pan! :) 6) Forget your towels, suntan lotion, sunscreen? Don't worry they had it! 7) We didn't get a chance for the games, books, or bikes but maybe we will get to that next time :) 8) We also loved we were so near to a great deal of shopping areas. The only thing that made us sad, was when it was time to leave. It was a perfect getaway for me, and my husband and we would love to go back and stay longer!

Peaceful, beautiful sunsets, clean

This was the perfect vacation for the month because of this fantastic home and its hosts. If you rent this home, go there first before the grocery store. It is so well stocked. Many spices. Plenty of kitchen utensils and equipment. It is the cleanest home we have ever stayed in. The location is fantastic. Such a quiet area, light traffic. We have stayed in other homes near Del Prado, never again. This home is close to the grocery store, and within 10 minutes from some great restaurants. And the main road has a bike path and the neighborhood is so quiet. The lanai is to die for. The cage on the lanai is without posts, so it is a clear site to the peaceful small lake it sits on. Which also makes the sunsets every night spectacular. The pool and jacuzzi are great! The house is tastefully decorated with higher end furniture. The beds are comfortable. It is so private with the beautiful landscape. Comfortable temperatures in home, pool and jacquzzi. Ingrid is the best host. She is so accessible and takes care of things right away. She just wants to make sure you have a relaxing, nice vacation.

Fantastic location and views but needing some TLC.

Our stay in late October 2017 was very enjoyable. The pool and pool area, including the view are superb. The villa itself was a bit of a dissapointment and not really 5 star as advertised. The couch in the lounge has seen better days and the bathrooms are very dated. The metal frame of the hot tub cover was completely rusted through on one side and collapsing during use. The barbecue was chaired up inside the garage limiting it's use to the front yard, so not what I had in mind for my outdoor dining by the pool. The lanai had been damaged during a recent hurricane, so insects and birds inside, as well as debris from the trees going in the pool. Very well equipped kitchen but no welcome pack, and no cable TV either. Luckily our Netflix account came to the rescue. As I said, a very enjoyable break, but sadly not meeting all our expectations.

Nice getaway

We were relatively happy with the property. The photos are exactly accurate of the property. There were a few things that we found a little disappointing, but overall had a great stay. Ingrid was very friendly and helpful. This was our first time ever using vrbo, so we didn’t not really know what to expect. I want to reiterate that this is a very very lovely home and a magical pool area!! We would recommend this property to anyone!! There were only two things I wished I had known, or read in a review. So that’s the only reason I am including the two items were we disappointed about. Beautiful house and great hosts—so the following things are just preference things. We really enjoyed being in the pool and wished that the water feature of the pool could have stayed on in the evenings and early mornings. The sound of the waterfall adds so much to the ambiance of the patio and we were a bit disappointed when it would turn off every evening at 6 pm. We ate dinner on the patio watching the gorgeous sunset and wished we could hear the peaceful pool noise. It also did not turn on until 9 am. The other item that disappointed us was the king size bed. It was king sized mattress, but it was very uncomfortable. It was the most uncomfortable night sleep my husband and I both have ever had. It felt like stiff memory foam or maybe a super firm mattress with a topper. I’m sure many people have found it totally fine. Again—these are just things I wish I had been prepared for. I loved this house and would go back (if I knew there was a newer mattress in the main bedroom).
