Nice visit

All in all it was a nice home. The master bed is very comfy. The kitchen is pretty well equipped and they provided ample start up supplies. We contacted the property manager about a few things and unfortunately he was on vacation without anyone filling in for him so the inquiries went unanswered for a week. The lanai could use a couple more lounge chairs since the house definitely has more than 2 guests usually. The house is nice and it was clean.

Relaxing Getaway

The house was perfect for our trip. The pool and outdoor area is so relaxing and we loved being able to look out over the canal. Great location and it was so easy to get to shops and beaches.

OUTSTANDING POOL AND SCENERY

The home was just what we were looking for a week vacation. Just before we left, I received another 8 page contract that was kind of a put off but for the most part I understand they are covering themselves. I already paid for the home and there were no refunds so even if I did not agree with the terms of this contract, they would not give me a refund. They threatened even more fees if I did this or if I didn't do that. In their contract, they indicated that they would not be any soap, toilet paper, dish or laundry soap in the home, but yet they send me an email before I leave asking me to launder the towels. I could not believe that there would not be any toilet paper!! There were a host of fee's such as a host fee, utility fee, administrative fee, service fee. The price seemed perfect until all those fees were factored in. The shower towels were subpar along with the pots and pans and kitchenware. The best part of the home was the pool by far and that is where we spent most of our time. All in all it was a nice home.

Villa Ever After

Nice property in a quiet neighborhood. Right on the canal system but not much boat traffic this time of year. Check-in was easy and so was the check-out process. Could have used a dish drainer because I didn’t use the dishwasher. Would definitely stay here again.

Nicely situated

Nice sized house with great outdoor eating area and large patio around pool. Pool was very nice with 3 bubbling fountains and colored lights for evening. Property was situated on large area of canal wth smaller canals branching off. Enjoyed kayaking very much! Quiet street wth no close houses. Major retailers/restaurants close by. Great week of relaxation!

Home is Decent, Management are CROOKS

First of all make no mistake, Roelens Vacations are a bunch of dishonest thieves, but I will get back to that in a moment. Proclaimed a fishermans paradise, there is no way! In fact there was a fishing tournament in the canal during our stay and after speaking with a couple of the competitors they both agreed this was a terrible polluted canal and without fish! We did not see a single person in over a week of staying catch a fish. Secondly the pool heater didnt function at first, we had to complain twice (and two days without pool) before someone finally came to reset the heating system whose control system was hanging by its wires from the ceiling of the porch. After resetting it woundnt stop heating and was like a hot tub at 103F! Basically there was no control, either very hot or very cold. The home's interior is dated as early 90s but in decent condition and livable. There was no garage door opener so getting in and out was a serious hassle. All in all the home itself was adequate for our stay. Back to the thieving management: upon getting home we found a charge for $250... upon speaking with the manager she said we took a cat. Now keep in mind we drove from INDIANA to Fl. Do you seriously think we would have a cat riding shotgun?! More importantly WE DONT OWN A CAT, NOR CAN WE DUE TO ALLERGIES! After sharing these two details with them Roelens Vacations still insisted that we owed them a pet penalty because they found cat hair and litter in the home somewhere... My contention is that the place is not being cleaned correctly if they found these things, or it simply was fabricated. the fact remaining we didnt have a cat, kitten, or any other four legged creature! The management of Roelens Vacations are nothing but foreign scoundrel's and will use any excuse they can to take your money just as they did ours! The bottom line is that this home is a decent rental, we feel for the homeowner, but the management company's personnel should be in jail! Stay clear until Roelens Vacations are fired!

Decent place to stay

The layout of the house is nice, there are several pocket doors to close off sections. The master bed was comfortable, however the other beds were not. Twin beds are very squeaky and full bed dipped in the middle. The house was relatively clean, however there were several spiders that we saw throughout our stay coming down from ceilings/light fixtures. The corners of ceilings were not cleaned and we could see a lot of webs. When we arrived, both garbage and recycling containers were completely full. The pool heater was turned off before we arrived so we kept waiting for it to warm up, only to find out a couple days into our stay it was shut off. We called the manager and she instructed us how to turn it back on, however it took 3 days to be warm enough to swim comfortably. The neighborhood was mostly quiet, went on many walks, not much traffic coming through. Given only one roll of tp per bathroom and no Kleenex or paper towel—just be aware you will need to purchase some. Plenty of dishes to cook with. Also lots of towels throughout the home. There were a couple chairs to bring to the beach and some boogie boards. We did purchase a beach umbrella and left it for future guests. Good location for restaurants and only about a 20 minute drive to Fort Myers Beach.

Charming house

We had a great experience with Roelens Vacation Properties. The check in/check out was very easy with plenty of communication regarding the rental. The house was very clean. The pool was amazing. It was heated and our family got to enjoy it quite a bit. The house is conveniently located a walking distance from Publix, many restaurants and golf communities, where you can play as a guest. The beach is about 30 minutes away. The house has a spectacular view from the backyard of the canals. Plenty opportunities for fishing and kayaking. There were 2 kayaks provided. Overall, great house which offers lots of ways to relax.

Paradise

Our stay at Villa Villa Ever After was beautiful. We loved having our own personal pool. The house was just as pictured and very clean. The pool heater wasn’t working, but the property manager got it fixed. We will definitely return here for many years to come with our family.

Loved it!

We visited for 2 weeks at the end of June. Temps in the mid 90s. Property was clean and as described. Pool was the perfect temperature. House stayed very cool. Layout of the home was perfect. Property manager called to check on us to be sure everything was satisfactory. Offered to replace propane tank if we ran out (we did not). We enjoyed the kayaks, and use of the umbrella and chairs for the beach. All in all I would give it 5 stars. Bed was comfortable and having access to the pool from almost all areas of the home was great! Thanks for everything!!

Gut bis auf

Alles gut soweit bis auf das Bett im 2ten Schlafzimmer. Es war sehr schmal, wenn einer sich bewegte sprang der andere hoch und es war auf einem Rollgestell wo seitlich die Rollen unangenehm hervorstanden die zudem dann mit dem Betttuch verdeckt waren. Da sind wir des Öfteren mit dem Knöchel hängen geblieben. In der Beschreibung des Hauses wurden meine ich auch Bikes beschrieben, die waren leider nicht da

The view of the canals was a delight. Enjoyed our morning coffee watching the wildlife. Very peaceful. The pool was awesome.

Wonderful home

We enjoyed the home so much. The pool was great and the lake view was wonderful. The floor plan worked out perfectly for our group of 6. I would definitely book this home again.

The property itself is a nice clean place offering relaxation and plenty of space! Recommend to stay

The house being situated between two unbuilt lots offers more privacy than expected. Being tucked back on a corner lot was nice too keeping traffic at a minimum. Really appreciated having a master bedroom opposite the house from other bedrooms. LOVED the pool, the patio dining area, the view of the canal, the general decor, and the kayaks - all a very nice touch. There were plenty of pool towels, a spacious kitchen, a newer grill, a garage for our vehicle, and lots of cleaning supplies if needed. Thank you for all of those amenities. The place was also presented clean which is greatly appreciated. Some things that were slightly less desirable were the age of some appliances, lack of the most modern deadbolts and door/window security, slow speed of pool setting changes, having cable but not being able to access most of the channels, frequently refilling the pool water (too bad the pool doesn't do that on it's own), the loud slam that the garage door makes when closing, lack of more grilling utensils, lack of cooking utensils and large serving bowls (there are enough basics but not if you like cooking), some burned out light bulbs throughout, not having more than one roll of paper towels and 2 rolls of toilet paper on day one, and a slow drain of master bath tub. No real deal breakers but in need of consideration for change. Things in need of immediate attention include replacing the dryer vent lint trap (a fire hazard in it's current state). Changing all air filters (I changed one myself - it needed it). Evaluating the dishwasher for a potential leak (it has worn seals). Replacing the light in the refrigerator (it flickers like a strobe light, highly annoying). Aside from this I found interaction with the property Mgmt company both good and unfortunately annoying. They were very pleasant and always asked for agreement from me before doing things like stopping by to welcome us or scheduling maintenance. I appreciate that very much & I know their job can be challenging. That being said we did not feel the need for a check in or check out, we did not want to schedule our time around maintenance requests; we did not want to be bothered. I know we are private people & scheduling can be tricky, but there should be some way of identifying if a renter is more open to that activity than others & scheduling appointments with them around. We contributed some things: I bought a fishing pole & tackle, left bottled water, TP, and unused sunscreen. Enjoy!
