"Sandy and John are what Cape Breton hospitality is all about. Their well appointed home has everything you need and more. The magical path to the beach is lit with fairy lights and although a fire ban was in place during our visit we enjoyed their deck fire pit on crisp October nights. The house is secluded and surrounded by beautiful fall foliage. Internet and a large screen smart tv are available for rainy days. Not a sound was heard or a living soul spotted during our stay and we slept oh so well. Our only complaint is that we couldn’t stay longer. John and Sandy are responsive hosts and we highly recommend their lovely home. "

"It was everything we were looking for. Quite, great scenery. The dome was clean and was equipped with anything you would need or want...except tea. Lots of coffee but no tea. Other than that we enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay here again. "

"This place is perfect for groups of all ages with lots to do, an abundance of beautiful views, gathering spaces and quiet places.The accessibility to the Bras D'Or Lake is wonderful even our 88 yr old father could drive down to the beach area and take in the beauty! The home has many thoughtful games, books and finishing touches to make the place ideal for a gathering. We loved the large table our big family could gather around. The teens loved the pool table and dart board and the seniors in our group enjoyed the accessibility of the main floor area (large rooms, walk in shower etc). The kitchen was very functional and well equipped. We really enjoyed these exceptional homes and would come back in a heart beat! "

"We absolutely loved our stay at your quintessential mountain log cabin! From starting each day with coffee on the deck to relaxing in front of the fireplace in the evening, it was everything we hoped for! The location was perfect! Very peaceful, serene and private.Beautiful views of Bras d'or Lake from the deck. A perfect spot to enjoy morning coffee, evening cocktails and fantastic star gazing!The cabin was very clean, comfortable and cozy! Very well equipped with everything we needed and more. "The Lakeside Dome is a perfect spot for a quiet getaway. We enjoyed the view of the lake and it was very close to the Dundee resort where we were attending a wedding. A nice retreat."

"Looking for peace and quiet with an amazing view; this is the place to go. The wooden cottage is located up a hill with an amazing view on Lake Bras d’Or. The pictures are 100% accurate. Only thing to keep in mind, the drive up the hill is quite steep and the gravel road is quite bumpy. If you don’t drive a 4x4 or an awd vehicle, make sure your car is not too close to the ground or you could scrape and cause damage."

"The canins are wonderful.Even better is the Cabana! Everything was provided(even milk for the morning coffee)Grant is top notch; he met us upon our arrival and provided insight to start our trip off on a high note.Will return for fall to see the colours of the Cabot Trail.
