"The hotel is in a great location, high up, with great views of the Abbey and the town. There are steps up to the hotel from the town or you can walk up the road (Khyber Pass). There is limited onsite parking which needs to be booked in advance. Room 2 was clean and had a new carpet and bed. It was quite a large room with a sea view. "Little gem of a place, lovely little suite photos are absolutely honest, really clean and warm with a great shower and a comfy bed. The staff were welcoming and helpful. If you have mobility issues though this isn’t the accommodation for you, stairs up to the flat door then another short but fairly steep set up to the suite door, another short but steep windy staircase to the bedroom from the lounge, I did however find this a nice quirky addition.One thing to bear in mind is that your are over...

"I really liked this, used to live in Whitby so like coming home. The food is excellent apart from Trenchers which was down on last years although the service was good.
My bedroom was superb - beautifully done using all options there for you.

"Lovely little cottage. some damp but I suppose it is to be suspected with the age and location of the building. Windows are a bit stiff, but the kitchen window should be opened due to lack of an extractor. There was no soap, but everything else we needed was provided. The location was excellent and access was easy, aside from parking but we managed OK."
