Nice Stay, needs some tweeking!

We enjoyed being in the area. The owners were nice but not often available. The bed was very comfortable. The set up of the room was very hazardous. The cabinet with microwave and coffee pot was stopping the door from opening. Each time we tried to enter the room, the door would slam against the corner of said table and smash our hands. It was 51 degrees in my room one morning. The heater would not come on, I set the thermostat to 74, The baseboard heater never come on. The hottub was really nice, It was outback near the rivers edge. Very enjoyable. There is a natural hot spring just 3 miles down the road. It is called Penny Springs, I would highly recommend an early morning dip!

Room was good as we knew we would be out most days. The bed was very noisy just getting up and down to sit on the bed. The frame was very squeaky. Kathie

One side of room is a river and the other side the mountains.. breathtaking, super clean, the sheets were so crisp, we stayed in a large a suite with full kitchen sitting area and a separate bedroom. They let us check out late for no fee. There is great hiking that you can walk to and swim in the river or go to the hot springs. The other issue I had was no air conditioning or even a fan and the first night it was hot

Worth it just for staying by the river.

No AC 90 degree days. Room 1 is a small box. Called ahead for fan, not in room upon arrival,. Office said open, but no one was there and no one answered the calls. Did get a fan at 10 P, that helped. Note, I also did bring a very small AC portable unit, but that was not enough for the space. Bed and pillows good. Microwave., fridge.,coffee maker, full bathroom in unit. No Internet, good to know in case needed for medical reasons. Back patio/pass through that leads to river nearby. Plenty of seating benches and a hammock for enjoying time by the river, that was pleasant. Noticed they do have a hot tub, but with it being hot did not check it out.. Area is pretty & quaint, an excellent deep dish pizza place next-door, a few small stores and ice cream shop. A nice park that had live music on Saturday night.. The area is a long street , nestled between the river and the woods. With pretty, well maintained houses., a few shops with antiques and unique art. The area is a great homebase for exploring surrounding areas.

Bruce and Andrea are lovely hosts and we enjoyed staying at their property. Very quiet and beautiful area of Colorado. Propaganda Pizza next door was excellent and the Redstone Inn was also a nice place to chill. Redstone has limited wifi and virtually no cell service in the area which was nice as you can really unplug. The property did have WiFi if you need to make a call.

The bathroom sink dripped constantly. The toilet seat was missing a nut on the bolt that holds the seat in place. Every time I picked up the toilet seat, I thought it was going to break off and fall on the floor. Went to the office several times. When it said,"OPEN, Come on In"........there was no one there. The other times I went there was a "We'll Be Back" sign on the door with a cardboard box saying what time they would return. But the loading was clean, quiet and centrally located, So overall it was OK

Convenient location, but could use some routine maintenance, like getting the sliding screen door put on its track. Also, trash hadn't been removed from previous occupant.

The number one reason to stay here is the river running by the property. The number 2 is that it is clean and includes amenities like dish and silver ware, plenty of towels & a comfy bed. The hosts were not present but they left a key for me to check in. It is a high level motel type of stay in a beautiful spot!
