While it's a good 15 mins or so up a hill from the station, for £40 or so, there's nothing at all to complain about- big rooms with cooking facilities, microwave and even a dishwasher should you need it, a lovely swimming pool and staff who were knowlegable and extremely helpful; particularly Guaytan , who couldn't have been more efficient and personable. "The location was about as good as you can hope - crazy close to the train station and conveniently located next to the canal, right outside of the touristic heart of the city. The rental was spacious and crazy comfortable - with amenities aplenty, the washing machine was a godsend. The rental looked clean, the terrace was perfect for a nice meal and a bottle of wine to unwind after a nice, hot day. AC made the apartment nice and cool, which was a must in the sweltering heat. "Very friendly receptionist, perfect location small room but very clean. We have a rental car and the Hotel is inside the Medieval Wall ( no cars allows) but the driver was at the entrance waiting to take us to the Hotel, we can not remember his name but very friendly and the guy who took us back to the car also very friendly"

"Lovely modern room, not big but had everything we needed. Plenty of hot water, very clean. Complementary tins of water. Good buffet breakfast simple but well organised with cheese meat croissants eggs cornflakes available. Good coffee. Excellent location minutes from La Cite. Excellent value for money. "Location, location, location!!! Right at the base of Carcassone walled city, what a view! The beautiful walled city is just amazing. The hotel rooms are nice, comfortable bedding, good a/c, all decorated uniquely but the bathroom/shower is so very, very small - even for Europe standards. They need to remove all the bathtubs. We enjoyed the spa (massages) & outside tranquil pool facilities one morning after some long travels. The dining area staff needs some work...each morning it took forever to get noticed and served the breakfast as we sat on the outside area enjoying the view, seemed like they had plenty of staff but slow. Also, they need to serve from the bar longer at night and more drink selections. We came back from dinner and could only get a glass of wine from the bar to sit out and once again enjoy the view - and even this was with hesitation from the bar staff. I would come back again and do recommend it, you cannot beat the location - but it could improve some."
