We had an absolutely wonderful stay and would 100% recommend this lodge! From the moment we arrived, everything exceeded our expectations. The lodge was spotless, beautifully presented and had everything we could possibly need. We were especially impressed with all the thoughtful little extras provided, including dishwasher tablets, washing-up liquid, bathrobes and towels. It’s rare to find a holiday lodge so well equipped, and those small touches really made us feel welcome.
Glyn and Phillipa were fantastic hosts. They were so kind, friendly and welcoming, making us feel comfortable throughout our stay while also giving us plenty of privacy. It was clear they genuinely care about their guests having a great experience.
The hot tub was definitely one of the highlights. It was impeccably clean, very comfortable and, unlike many hot tubs, it wasn’t overloaded with chlorine, making it much more enjoyable to use. We spent lots of time relaxing in it and it really made our break feel extra special.
Our only small niggle was that we brought our little Chihuahua with us. Although the decking was enclosed, the garden itself wasn’t fully secure. It was a lovely outdoor space, but we couldn’t let him roam while we were in the hot tub, so we took turns sitting with him or staying nearby if he wanted to lie on the grass. It certainly didn’t spoil our stay, but a fully enclosed garden would make it perfect for guests with small dogs.
Overall, we had a fantastic, relaxing break!
