Very, very tired hotel. Bistro shut permanently so no food available despite it still showing on their web site. Room very poor, door lock broken, toilet roll holder missing off wall, black mold on bathroom ceiling, yuk! Would not recommend this hotel to anyone. Only positive note was reception staff very nice and helpful.

The room was small but ample for an overnight stay alone. The room was clean apart from the blind which was stained. The receptionist was cheerful, helpful and informative. The bed was the most comfortable I’ve ever slept in! Horrible view and dirty blind my only negatives.

After reading reviews of The Mount Rooms we were hesitant about our stay, but we needn't have been. The staff were so friendly and helpful, the room had obviously recently been refurbished and was clean and comfortable (with fab views) and the hotel was quiet. It was quite basic (we were glad we took toiletries), but we had a lovely stay. Recommended for a nice place for a budget stay in Barry.

Very friendly and helpful staff. Clean and quiet hotel. Had all the basic things you need for a cheap and cheerful stay. parking is limited but there is room on side streets. Only net curtains in the room so it let a lot of light in at night. Otherwise a lovely stay.

Welcoming and friendly staff, but did seen a little short staffed. Hotel does seem a little tired and would benefit with a facelift. We had a comfortable stay, and room was fine. There was a function, so perhaps more people than usual leaving cigarette end outside. Overall it was good accomadation.

Nice hotel!

Great little hotel in Barry, close walk to many local amenities. Staff at the hotel were absolutely lovely. Great hotel if on a budget. Only negative was beds were uncomfortable and curtains let in lots of light so difficult to sleep. Will be back, overall lovely hotel, thank-you for our stay

Few improvements and a lovely place to stay

Hotel has loads of potential. Bar area is really nice and so is the lobby. Room was really large and comfortable bed. What let it was the condition of the carpet on the stairs (really dirty) and the room carpet and bathroom floor was not very clean. The staff were really nice and friendly and very professional.
