"Great room, clean but the pools close at 7 and the food is not great, Even though the pools close early, the beach is right there on the property and most rooms have a private pool or jacuzzi. Bring snacks, don’t stay for long, and drink. Other than the food the atmosphere and everything was great"

"If you are looking to relax this is a great place to do that. The rooms could do with some renovations and updating but the property is extremely clean and the beds were comfortable. There is food available all day long in different areas. I really enjoyed the buffets over the restaurants. The breakfast buffet was my favorite. You can find anything that you want and they do take food allergies into consideration. The cappuccino bar was also really wonderful. The service is laid-back meaning you may have to wait a few minutes for service. The beach is part of the public beach. There is a private area for the guests but the vendors still come through however they’re very polite if you say you’re not interested they just keep it moving. The guys who work for the hotel on the beach are unbelievable. They work so hard and they completely set you up and they will do anything they can to make you comfortable . I spent most of my time at the beach. If you’re looking for music and games and something more lively the pool offers that. That was such a relaxing vacation which is exactly what I was looking for and I would definitely stay here again. It took me about a day to get my bearings and figure out the schedules for restaurants but after that it was also smooth sailing. I would definitely recommend this property. I can’t wait to go back."

"Our group had a memorable vacation at Barcelo Punta Cana, but we were deeply disappointed by one issue and want to warn others to be careful when booking airport transfers. We paid $90 to "Destination" for round-trip transfers between the airport and the hotel, yet they only provided the trip to the hotel. When it was time to leave, they failed to show up to take us back to the airport. We contacted the hotel to reach out to them, but were told they weren't coming; we were forced to pay an additional $45 to avoid missing our flight. Waiting for a long time in the scorching heat was a terrible experience. The point is, we would have gladly paid that money if the service had been reliable and professional, rather than being set up like this—had we missed our flight, it could have cost us thousands of dollars"

"No complaints! The staff was amazing. Rooms very clean and modern. I had a great facial. The buffet food is mid. So we took a taxi and got local food and went to a local beach where we had fresh fish. Carlos and the front desk and Fernando - bellman were exceptional!"
