Ramside Hall Hotel, Golf and Spa
We got the basic room which was lovely, the bed was huge. However, the bathroom ceiling the paint was flaking off the ceiling quite a large spot over the bath/shower.

Lumley Castle Hotel
unique hotel in a proper castle, comfortable room in courtyard. Staff friendly and efficient. Only problem unable to book restaurant for dinner before 9.45, when we arrived had to make do with limited menu in bar.

Station Suites
Immaculate room with great facilities. Plenty of tea and coffee. Breakfast was as advertised but I’d prefer a bigger range of food.
