Decor of the bedroom was very tasteful only issue I had was my back didn't agree with the bed, staff said that there was a plan in place to replace all the mattressesalready started

19th but definitely not a hole!

Room was extremely quiet and well appointed. Very clean and comfortable. Staff apologised as it was a ‘small’ room but as a single guest it was perfectly adequate. Will be booking this hotel again as I visit family on a regular basis.

Booked The 19th Hole whilst visiting friends in the area. Room was clean and most of the staff friendly. Has free parking to the rear of the hotel and is within walking distance to the promenade/seafront area of Carnoustie. On my night of arrival (friday) I noticed a guest being served steak pie at approx 8pm....enquired with a member of the bar staff could I order food and they advised no as the kitchen was now closed.....even though another member of staff had just that minute brought out steak pie for another guest in the hotel..... I ended up staying over an extra night and again booked my stay through Expedia and paid expedia on my debit card for the extra night as i get a discount with my blue light card. On check out I met "Linda" who advised me she had just returned from holiday. I advised I just wanted to check out. Linda advised they had not received payment for my extra nights stay....i advised i had booked with Expedia and that they would receive the payment from them in due course ....I even displayed my bank acc statement to them. A few days later Linda took an unauthorised payment from my debit card instead of chasing Expedia!..so i had then paid twice for the room! I ended up having to go to Expedia to explain what Linda had done. They apologised and refunded me my money. Terrible customer service from Linda and absolutely disgusting way to treat paying customers! I wont be back for that reason, avoid this hotel

Comfortable good value centrally located

Comfortable clean single room. My 'go to' hotel now when staying in Carnoustie. Very good value accommodation. Breakfast & meals available daily at additional cost. Bar. Free parking. Central location, close to shops, restaurants, beach, golf. Also close to train station & bus routes.

Ground floor annexe opposite the main building - no problem with that suited me fine, no stairs to carry my golf clubs up! Single room was more than adequate and the lady that checked me in was lovely.

Comfortable central accommodation.

Overall good service. Clean, warm comfortable room. Daily cleaning, changing of towels, topping up of refreshments. Fridge in room also a bonus. Central location. Free parking. Good value. Single rooms in house across road from main building. Food available in bar (advise booking if a weekend), plenty cafes, restaurants within walking distance. Only downside, for some reason bathroom bin had not been emptied from previous customer & wasn't emptied throughout 3 night stay.

I had a reservation for this Hotel and on the day I checked in I discovered my mum was in Hospital. She passed away the following day and I let the staff know I was checking out early and they said if I emailed the hotel they would refund me. After I had recovered from my mum passing, I emailed the hotel. No response. a second attempt no response. I called Expedia and they established they did not want to refund me for the remaining 6 days of my stay. What a bunch of thieves. Do not use this Hotel. And to think I had told my relatives to use it when they came for the Funeral. Calling my Credit Card company now to get this joke of a theft corrected.
