By car, it is easy to explore the Gobbins, the Antrim coast, Giant’s Causeway, or perhaps the Fermanagh Lakelands or County Down, with its Mourne Mountains and beautiful coast.

Whitehead is a late Victorian town, in a conservation area, nestled at the mouth of Belfast Lough. It has the perfect blend of local amenities, with coffee shops, a bakery, convenience stores, pubs and various small restaurants. For the active, there is a path around the historic Blackhead lighthouse, golf courses, and the open water, with opportunities to join in with sailing, rowing, swimming and paddle boarding.

The nearest large town is Carrickfergus, which features a Norman castle (built in 1180) and many other attraction, but Belfast is within easy reach, with its first class food scene, St George’s Market, Titanic Museum and great city centre.
