Customer service was excellent, the hotel is in front of the beach. And breakfast was as delicious .

My experience at Hotel Coco Beach in Cartagena was so alarming that I checked in and checked out within 20 minutes, and even then the hotel refused to provide a partial refund or communicate with Expedia. What is advertised online is not even remotely close to what exists in reality. The property is grossly misrepresented: • The pool water was green, clearly unmaintained and unsafe. • There is no rooftop bar, despite being advertised as a major feature. • The building is actively under construction, with exposed areas and hazards everywhere. • The back entrance from the beach is literally bricks, not a walkway. • Dogs and cats roam inside the building without leashes, adding to the sense of chaos and lack of management. • The bathroom had residual construction compound smeared on the walls and floor, making it feel dirty and unfinished. • There were no toiletries provided at all. • The room door was so flimsy it could be pushed open, offering no sense of security. • The bed was hard like the floor — not firm, but genuinely hard and uncomfortable. • The restaurant closes at 4 PM, and the beach area closes at 6 PM, leaving guests stranded with no food or services in the evening. • The surrounding area did not feel safe to go out and eat at night, especially with no hotel amenities available. This hotel is not ready for guests, not safe, and not honestly represented online. The photos and reviews cannot possibly be from real travelers — the conditions are so poor that it fee

I've been to Cartagena before and this was definitely a hidden gem. The rooms have a lot of space, they are clean and the bed is comfy. The staff is incredibly nice and attentive! The food was amazing and the drinks were really nice. I think the best thing overall is that it is right across from the beach, not even a 1 minute walk. The beach is nice and without all the vendors that harass tourists like in more popular areas (Bocagrande). Really happy I stayed here. I was able to work, eat nice food and enjoy delicious well-made drinks by a wonderful staff. Will definitely be back!

El hotel estaba limpio y las instalaciones se mantenían en buen estado. Sin embargo, las fotos publicadas no reflejan la realidad del lugar. La ubicación fue uno de los aspectos que menos me gustó: está dentro de un barrio, con calles en mal estado que, cuando llueve, se llenan de lodo. En general, el entorno no es muy agradable. En cuanto al personal, la mayoría fue muy atenta y amable. Quiero destacar especialmente a Yulenis, quien fue muy servicial y siempre recibió a los huéspedes con una sonrisa. Por otro lado, mi experiencia con la recepcionista no fue la mejor, ya que su actitud me pareció poco amable. El desayuno fue exactamente el mismo todos los días, sin ninguna variedad, lo cual se vuelve repetitivo si te quedas varios días. Durante mi estadía hubo un día en que se fue el agua en todo el edificio y en otra ocasión se cortó la electricidad por unos 20 minutos. En general, el personal hace un buen trabajo y el hotel está limpio, pero la ubicación no es buena y las fotos generan expectativas que no corresponden con la realidad The hotel was clean and the facilities were well-maintained.
