William Savery created the first divided highway in the US. It was opened to the public in 1860 and can still be driven on in Carver, MA. Savery is the name of the historic district here as well. His grave is located in the 1865 Historic Union Cemetery.

Mayflower Cranberries is one of the few places where you can actually participate in the cranberry harvest! For $50, you get to put on a pair of waders, grab a rake, and head into the bog. The owners and workers are super friendly and knowledgeable and it's a very fun way to experience one of New England's fall traditions!
