Tucked into a tranquil south-facing hillside,is this beautifully restored, traditional stone barn. Surrounded by fields & woodland, it has pretty gardens & stunning views of the rolling countryside. For nature lovers or those who just want to get away from it all this is the perfect place to relax & unwind. This spacious gite has all the comforts of modern living, whilst retaining traditional features including high oak beamed ceilings. Situated between the pretty villages of Castelnau-Montratier & Montpezat de Quercy, it is an ideal base to explore the many places of beauty & historical interest that the Lot has to offer. The Tarn and Garonne & the Aveyron are also within easy reach, as are various sporting facilities including canoeing, horse-riding, cycling, walking, fishing etc. For those who want to enjoy the fine wines and food of this region,there are plenty of vineyards, great restaurants and markets full of fresh local produce to tempt you.

Wo soll man anfangen? Bei dem liebevoll und mit viel Sorgfalt gestaltetem Ferienhaus, bei der luxuriösen Terrasse mit Blick vom Esstisch in die weite Landschaft (s. Foto), bei diesem einladenden Pool, dem mediterran mit viel Kreativität gestalteten Garten ... oder sind es diese perfekten Gastgeber Michele und Steve, immer hilfsbereit und absolut diskret.Michele hat einen kleinen Ratgeber für die Umgebung gestaltet, so dass mit der Erkundung der umliegenden "plus beaux villages" und dem Besuch der lebendigen Märkte sofort begonnen werden kann. Für uns war es großartig! Danke Michele und Steve

Semaine paisible dans le Lot

Nous avons passé un agréable séjour dans cette belle maison de vacances parfaitement équipée et spacieuse pour deux personnes. Le cadre, la vue et la piscine sont idéales pour un séjour ressourçant et apaisant. Michele et Steeve ont été d’excellents hôtes, discrets et disponibles. A Natural Paradise

Set in a lovely flowery garden and surrounded by country lanes lined with wildflowers, this peaceful place suited us down to the ground. If you enjoy peace and the natural world this is perfect. Its proximity to some of the regions lovely towns and villages means that there is plenty of sightseeing and shopping - there are great markets at weekends.

Outstanding Holiday

Michel and Steve went out of their way to make our week’s vacation a memorable one, in their lovely gite. Wonderful that it had been designed and built by them in traditional style. Blissful stay

This Gite is absolutely stunning. Five stars are not enough! The hosts Michele and Steve are lovely and have created a little bit of paradise in the French countryside. The beautiful old stone barn has been renovated to such a high standard by Steve and tastefully and beautifully furnished by Michele. Very large and comfortable bed. The views are wonderful and the gardens, a result of Michele's creativity and hard work are simply beautiful. We enjoyed looking at all the beautiful plants and arrangements.The olive trees were stand out gorgeous! The swimming pool has beautiful views and is kept warm by the cover which means even though we visited in May the water was warm enough to swim. The private area is large with really good quality outside furniture for relaxing and eating and a good parasol. We enjoyed trips out to local towns and particularly enjoyed a trip to the Sunday Morning market followed by lunch at Montcuq. There is information in the gite about where to visit. We spent the previous week in the Dordogne but preferred this area as it was less touristy. Only regret is that we didn't manage to fit a massage in with Michele. Next time!

A charming home in an oasis of tranquillity

The holiday home is located in a nice quiet rural setting on owners' property. The house is neat, clean and equipped with everything you need, so you can have a relaxing holiday. We found the property larger than it looks in the photos. So plenty of space! The owners Michèle & Steve give you all the privacy you want, but if you have a question, they are there for you. Michèle made a nice book with lots of information about the area, places of interest and tips with restaurants and markets to visit. This was very useful for us! The house has and nice bed (kingsize) with a good mattress. We stayed there for 10 days until 1 March 2023 but then it was too cold to use the pool. The fireplace in the house and electric heating in the sleeping area provided plenty of cosy warmth despite the still cold nights (there is good wood available). The views are fantastic and there is also plenty to hear and see for the bird lover. In addition, the wifi is very fast and using multiple devices at once is no problem at all. Streaming your beloved series/movie, own TV channels, is possible without any problems. This property has all the amenities to provide a wonderful holiday in the warm months, as well as the cold months of the year.

Lovely gite, lovely hosts

De foto’s en titel van de advertentie vertellen het verhaal zoals het is. Hele fijne gite met alles wat je nodig hebt en meer. Als je voor rust en ruimte gaat is dit de plek. Dichtstbijzijnde dorp met voorzieningen is 10 minuten rijden door prachtig landschap.

Que du bonheur !

Un séjour (trop court !) d'une semaine dans ce magnifique gîte restauré avec beaucoup de goût par Michele et Steve. L'endroit est superbe avec sa piscine, au calme total. Gîte très bien équipé, literie confortable, meubles de jardin à disposition. Que ce soit pour se reposer ou pour visiter cette magnifique région, le gîte est idéal. Petit cadeau de bienvenue à notre arrivée. Des hôtes discrets, bienveillants, disponibles et si sympathiques. Merci à tous les deux d'avoir mis à notre disposition cet endroit magnifique. Seul regret: être restés une semaine seulement. Nous reviendrons ... plus longtemps !

Fabuleux séjour

Avons passé une agréable semaine dans ce gîte très cocooning avec sa superbe piscine indispensable avec les fortes chaleurs. Wir haben eine wunderbare Zeit bei Michele und Steve verbracht. Die Bilder auf der Homepage entsprechen absolut der Realität; sie werden vor Ort sogar noch übertroffen! Das Ambiente, die Warmherzigkeit und Diskretion der Vermieter, das liebevoll und sehr geschmackvoll restaurierte Haus sowie der äußerst gepflegte Pool sind einfach ein Traum. Zudem eignet sich die hervorragende Lage sehr für Ausflüge mit dem Fahrrad. Das nahegelegene Castelnau Montratier ist ein lebendiger Ort mit Charme und das dortige Café Le17 war für uns auf den Touren ein häufiges Ziel. Wir haben uns selten so wohl gefühlt und kommen gerne wieder!

Wir können uns den vielen positiven Bewertungen nur anschließen. Das Ferienhaus von Steve und Michelle ist wirklich eine Topadresse. Der Garten ist ein Traum, viele verschiedene exotische Pflanzen, alles topgepflegt. Der Ausblick auf die weite Landschaft ist grandios und der Pool angenehm temperiert Das Haus wurde von Steve liebevoll renoviert. Schöne große Räume, viel Platz und eine tolle Atmosphäre. Es ist vielfach schöner als die Bilder der Webseite erwarten lassen. Die Umgebung ist angenehm ruhig, drumherum kleine nette Ortschaften, die es zu entdecken gilt. Die kaum befahrenen Departementsträsschen sind ideal für Touren mit dem Pedelec. Herzlichen Dank an Steve und Michelle für diesen wunderschönen Ort, den Sie offensichtlich mit viel Herzblut erschaffen haben. Bessere Vermieter kann man sich kaum vorstellen, immer diskret, freundlich und sehr höflich , unkompliziert und hilfsbereit.
