"The property is in a great location , clean tidy , great price ! The staff was very helpful so it done everything we needed , I never tried the food but from what I seen it looked good , we would use the hotel again no problem."

"Just fantastic! Do note that though it is a true castle, not all the rooms are in the castle, so do check if you are staying in the castle or what is the rooms called Castle View. I believe they were a long time ago the servant quarters, BUT don't let this dissuade from staying here. IT IS A CASTLE! The staff was extremely polite and funny. There are peacocks you can hand feed snacks, but check with the staff what the peacocks will eat. The restaurant is fantastic, but be aware the menu is limited, but they try to make accommodations if you have any dietary restrictions. There is a tour of the castle, but we didn't take it, though you can go up to near the top of the castle, but not outside. The area around the castle is straight out of a novel with farms and sheep. It is THE English countryside. Hadrian's Wall is about 20 minutes from the castle, but you will need to drive there or get transportation. We are glad this stay was towards the end of our trip, though we did have to drive 300 miles from London by car to get there. It was well worth it."

"The hotel is incredible! We were greeted at the front desk by friendly staff who were very helpful in storing our luggage until our check in time and pointing the way to the bus station so we could explore Hadrianās Wall that morning. Upon our return we were greeted by more friendly staff and directed to our room. When we opened the door our reaction was āWow! What a great place!ā The rooms were spacious and decorated beautifully. Tea, crumpets, local jam, and other accompaniments were laid out for us. We felt so welcome! We would book this hotel again in a heartbeat. It was hard to tear ourselves away at checkout!! You will love it!"

"the ibis Carlisle is a 5 minute walk from the train station and the same into the centre so it's perfectly situated. the hotel is keenly priced and the staff are very cheerful and helpful."

"Very brief stay as was asleep within half hr of arriving at 21:30 and away by 4am But couldnāt fault the place at all and very helpful reception who had to endure the customers from hell in front of me. Totally unjustified behaviour and she handled it like a champ 10/10"
