"Excellent service and very peaceful location, even though slightly steep last few 100 yards for the car. Nice view from the room and property in general. Staff and cook are very very polite. Rooms were clean and organized. Bathrooms were also clean, although slightly wet after they clean (hosts can perhaps look into this and ensure bathrooms are wiped after cleaning). This was only reason for for a 4-star rating on “rooms” (instead of 5-star rating)."

Very dirty, spiders everywhere are hotel bed sheets still had hair from the previous guests take a look at the tub in the photo! Cost more money than this damn break chain with breakfast, there was no way we were going to eat that food with all the gnats flying all over the place Way over price this really isn't even worth an Indian $5 hotel. We paid for 3 nights and left after...

"We (2 adults and 2 kids) had a pleasant stay at Stumpfields. It is 500 meters above Ooty town and within half an hour driving distance. This picturesque place is quiet, serene and well-maintained. Plenty of small and medium sized birds can be seen in and around the property. Breakfast prepared by the staff was very good and homely and the rooms are well maintained. "We were tired after a long day of travelling, the bed was the most comfortable so far in our travels in India. We had a great nights sleep. Service was good including giving us a light breakfast at 6 am. Dinner was good also."
