Kevin and Michelle have thought of everything and were excellent with communicating details for directions and check in/out times. "Perfect location in the middle of a perfect line of cottages - just what I was hoping for. But, the ground floor of this terrace was basic, unheated and could do with a refurb. I know from experience that to really update this flat, you would need to throw 75-100k at it to insulate the ceiling (so you didn't have to listen to the 10 o'clock news), update the bathroom (massive sink not needed and tiny shower), simplfy the kitchen (4 hob cooker? who needs them, just a combo oven and one halogen plate) and the dishwasher tablet left with a bin liner? and I'm guessing that it would not be financially viable to spend that money.....So, maybe just have it as clean as possible, install some kind of heating to drive out the damp and try and forewarn guests in the kindest way that it is very basic and lower the price a little. Other people on the course stayed in B&Bs which were cheaper per night.I hate to be the negative one but after 40 years in hospitality its hard not be a little judgmental.There are so many things going for this property but it just needs to be a little cheaper and the listing a bit more realistic."
