This house is perfect for a family or group seeking a fun, culinary and cultural vacation. Popular dining spots in the neighborhood include Xiao Bao Biscuit, Fuel, Porchetta Shop, Southbound, R Kitchen, Chubby Fish and many more! Our guests and neighbors also rave about Welton's Tiny Bakeshop and Kudu Coffee. We recommend going to either for a cup of locally-roasted coffee or their delicious cookies and cakes. The house is only a short walk from the very popular King Street where you will find a multitude of great shops – including antique shops, book stores and fashion boutiques – as well as endless buzzing restaurants and bars.

You can walk almost everywhere - but should you want to rest your feet, there are many other options for getting around: Uber, Lyft, Charleston Bike Taxi, Charleston Rickshaw, Green Taxi or Yellow Cab.

Perfect Location!

A perfect spot for 2 ppl if you’re looking to stay close to downtown! Plenty of dining, shopping, etc. all in walking distance. The comfortable bed was a great bonus! Looking forward to coming back one day.

The property is central to a lot of great places to eat and shop with free, clean public transportation to the waterfront, aquarium, and the market along with many other areas of the city. The property itself is super cute and fully functional the minute you step inside. Slept like a baby and enjoyed space just to chill in comfort!

The amenities saved us

As our first trip of a family with a small child (4 months), I knew our weekend would be a test run. I am very thankful for the pack n play provided and also the washer/dryer/tide pods. They also provide a water pitcher with a filter which we used a ton. These are now things I will always be on the look out for when traveling.

We didn’t stay much inside except to sleep I would suggest them having a TV in the room, just one tv in the living area Sofa was ok The bed was comfortable The water heater didn’t work for about 1 day due to cold weather so that was an inconvenience but it got fixed right away Overall stay was good

Quick Overnight Stay in Charleston

This upstairs apartment was very clean and comfortable on the inside for my husband and I. We were staying just 2 nights to see the sites in Charleston. It was not walkable for us to get to the historic area, we drove and it was a easy drive and easy to find parking. We were very happy that off street parking was provided behind the home. There were a few places to eat around the area of the home but we did not visit any. The home was just a block or so off of King Street so there were more options there. I would consider this place again if we were in the area.

Charlestone Getaway

The location is central and provides easy access to the downtown area. That was very nice. However, the location is very noisy. That may not bother some, but we find it difficult to sleep with significant street noise. The location on a busy street was not disclosed in the listing. In addition, the mini split AC system was also very noisy, particularly in the seating area. Also, we timed our stay there so we could do some laundry. However, the dryer was not working. The host made arrangements to take the laundry somewhere else, which was appreciated. It was very inconvenient.

Great location and friendly hosts

We spent a three-day weekend in Charleston and this site was the perfect location. The space looked exactly as advertised and was very clean. We didn't fully utilize the kitchen except for evening tea, but it was stocked with all appliances and utensils you would need. The location was fantastic and we just about walked everywhere we needed to go. The site is surrounded by restaurants so there are plenty of options nearby. The hosts were in contact with me starting the week before my stay and even checked in on us about halfway through to see if we needed anything. They also responded very promptly to any questions I had. This was my first vacation to Charleston and the stay at this site was a perfect complement to the trip. I highly recommend it!

Perfect Location!

This house had the perfect location for all things downtown Charleston! Walking distance to so many shops, the Charleston Market, Pineapple Fountain, everything we wanted to see. Parking is tight so be aware of that when driving but once there, you won’t have to drive again unless you choose to. Can’t wait to return!

Wonderful

We loved our stay here! The location is great, the communication was excellent and they even offer luggage storage!! The icing on the cake was we could order goodies ahead of time. We had beer, wine and snacks ready for our arrival.

Great location

Wonderful location with many restaurants within walking distance. The apartment was spacious, AC worked well, and the bed was very comfortable. Some guests have reported street noise since the bedroom faced the street, and while this is certainly true didn't bother us. While off street parking is a plus, the allotted spots (which belonged to more than one property) were extremely tight to accommodate today's SUVs. This was a concern. Also, the stairway leading to this upstairs apartment was very steep (this is a very old house) and the handrail only covered half of the staircase.

Mini vaca in Charlie town

We had a great stay! We were here for one night with our dog. We enjoyed the location and walked quite a bit. We were very thankful for the parking spot. The apartment was comfy and spacious.

The place was super clean! Plenty of dishes and towels. The bed was amazing! So comfortable I could barely make myself get up. It's on a pretty busy road which made the "people watching" from the balcony, enjoyable day and night. I'm giving this entire stay a 10 out of 10 stays!

The listing did not say the unit was on the second floor. It was not a problem for us but could be for some guests. The bathroom is very spartan. Someplace to put clothes while taking a shower would be a big improvement.

Great location to shopping, food, historical tours, and many tourist attractions. All things within walking distance. 1 free off street parking space provided. Area can be a little noisy but you are near everything so that is expected. Would definitely stay here again!

Loved the unit and the location. So many great restaurants to walk to. Had to drive to go downtown, but it was a quick 5-10 min drive depending on where we wanted to go. But if you’re in Charleston to eat and drink, there’s no need to drive anywhere!

Great Location. Unit as Advertised!

This property was a block off of King Street and is advertised accurately. You need to set your expectations realistically as most of the properties in the Low Country are older and have been renovated. The good: - The location is excellent. We are walkers and did not rent a car, although there is an off street parking area which is great. The entire Downtown area was walkable for us. We visited the Aquarium, Fort Sumter, the Citadel, the Market and the entire length of King Street over our 4 night stay. - The bed is comfy and the unit was clean. It is showing wear and has uneven floors as is to be expected in an old structure. The deck is a nice touch for the upstairs unit. We spent evenings out there regularly. Coffee was provided along with a water filtering pitcher. - Communication with David was excellent and checkin/checkout was a breeze. He always responded to our questions through the VRBO app within minutes. The realities: - If you have an issue with noise while sleeping, especially on weekends, you may be disappointed. There are white noise machines but just realize that the bedroom is right on the street and there is traffic noise. - There are stairs up to the unit. If you cannot navigate stairs, you may want to opt for the ground floor unit. The lighting outside at night was more than adequate to help in getting in and out of the unit. Overall, we had a great time in Charleston and would not hesitate staying here again. Good value for the money!
