"A rustic property in the quaint village of Longpont, this hotel felt a little like one of those âRestaurants with roomsâ concepts that are springing up now, in that everything revolves around the restaurant, more or less. And thatâs no bad thing, as the restaurant serves excellent dinners on itâs lovely outdoor terrace (with inside dining too if the weather is bad)
The room was cosy and functional if a littlest basic feeling, and despite the rural. setting had the best wifi of the past dozen...
"When we arrived we received heartfelt apologies that the heating was not working (and autumn chill had just set in). There was however an open fire in the dining room. The meal was acceptable, but not outstanding. I don't know if we were suffering from an end of season situation.
There was no offer of any reduction from our bill as a measure of good will."
