Fantastic holiday home with a private pool and wonderful views of the Dordogne

"The property is in a spectacular setting with great views over the Dordogne valley. It is on several levels with the 9.6m x 4.8m pool just below the house in a large garden with good privacy. It is a beautiful property which is clearly a family summer home. As such it has lots of character and a well stocked kitchen (in terms of utensils etc). The property was not perfect when we arrived as the pool was a little dirty (it had been very windy in the previous days) but Peter, the host, sorted this out very quickly. Aside from being a lovely house it is in a great location being close to chateaux at Beynac and Les Milandes and to Saint-Cyprien where there is a wonderful Sunday market. Sarlat is about 20-25 minutes drive away. The Dordogne river is only a few minutes drive away with numerous canoe hire locations and wild swimming opportunities. Some of the decor and fittings and decor were a little old so the property won't appeal to everyone but my family really liked it."

"Nous avons passé un merveilleux moment chez Léopold : une vue imprenable sur Castelnaud et sur le massif, et la (magnifique) surprise de voir les mongolfières de nos fenêtres chaque jour de beau temps. Le logement est idéalement placé tout près du très beau village de Beynac, et à une quinzaine de minutes de Sarlat. Le gîte est propre et chaleureux, de belle dimension pour notre famille de 3 personnes, le jardin est grand et bien entretenu, et quel plaisir de piquer un tête dans la piscine qui dispose de cette belle vue sur la région ! Léopold est discret et disponible, ce séjour a été un réel plaisir ! A recommander !"

"The place is beautiful and was immaculately clean. It was a smooth check in with Andrea and Martine. Martine met us as we drove up and led us to the place, gave us a detailed tour and with Andrea, they both then gave us information about the area. They were both delightful.The place had everything we needed and we appreciated the welcome snacks!Eating breakfast on our outdoor patio was wonderful. We would come here again, hopefully soon!"

"Beautiful home in an incredible setting. Place was very clean and Martine who met us with the key explained everything about the house and was very good at giving us recommendations on places to visit and restaurants.Aircon was an absolute dream in all the bedrooms and living room."
