Great B&B. Stay in a few places when I visit the UK and this is the best. Reasonably priced, good parking, comfortable rooms, great location and friendly/helpful staff
This is high quality b and b we stayed here for new year's eve and had a lovely time we was welcomed and the host was very friendly and helpful we would definitely stay here again, the rooms was clean and the beds was really comfortable, there was lovely little touches to the room and snacks and biscuits and little chocolates on the pillow the furniture and towels was high quality thank you for a welcoming stay
We had a lovely 2 night stay, the room we stayed in was a lot nicer than the pictures on the website it was really modern. Breakfast was lovely but the conservatory you sat in to dine was quite dated. Easy to find a parking space and loads of lovely restaurants on Faulkner Street which is less than 5 minutes walk away.
I stayed in one of the Court Yard rooms which was nicely tucked away from the main areas. The room was beautifully set out with great facilities, including fridge & microwave. The bed was very comfortable & en suite clean. The only negative was the wait to get into the dining room for breakfast , but an extension is being built to provide a larger dining area in the future.
Great little bed-and-breakfast. A short walk Into Chester, and close to Faulkner St, where you can grab food and a drink without the city prices. Staff were wonderful and friendly, and nothing was too much trouble. Breakfast was well presented. It was a buffet style with eggs made to order. We will definitely be back!
We really enjoyed staying here. The rooms were spacious, comfortable and well-provided. Having a fridge was especially appreciated, as we could keep our drinks fresh.
The staff were very friendly, helpful and efficient.
We did not have a car and the buses were very frequent.
We were able to eat well near the guest house in the evening.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and hope to go back.
Very good overall, self serve breakfast ok
Some TV noise etc through walls from adjoining room, poor soundproofing
Good location, some nice restaurants, pubs and shops locally. Walk into Chester 15 mins
The location and staff were excellent, really nice breakfast selection.
Only issue we had is they still have issues with bed bugs when reported they moved my colleague to another room without hesitation .
If they could resolve the bed bug situation I would highly recommend
We Usually stay in hotels, but decided to stay in a guest house this time. Got to say we were really impressed with Chester house. It was very clean and tidy, the bed was very comfortable, the staff were friendly and helpful, (in both here and their sister property, Chester court hotel, next door), and the included breakfasts were excellent.
In addition, it was great to have ample free parking on site
The location is also very convenient for Chester city centre and also to nearby Hoole village, where there are 5 or 6 pubs, 4 or 5 restaurants, plus a variety of shops and a express supermarket.
The only adverse comment, was very minor, a lack of a non slip mat in the shower. We actually used one of the hand towels.
From the check in to our departure the stay was first class. Laura checked us in and she made us feel very welcome. She explained everything about the hotel and breakfast etc. she was brilliant.
The owner was also so friendly and he took us a tour of the guest house and it was immaculate, the details were fantastic. It’s a big well done for all his hard work.
Our room was perfect, nothing was too much trouble. There were bottles of water and snacks and hot drinks to have and were replenished daily.
The breakfast was varied and plentiful cereals, selection of cheeses and cold meats, full English breakfast, fresh fruit, yoghurts and danish pastries. Perfect stay.
