"I have been traveling for 5 months and this hotel was by far my favorite! I was blown away by the attention to detail, the powerful ritual and symposium and the incredible heated pool surrounded by replicas of goddesses. The couples’ massage was wonderful and the staff and experience couldn’t have been better. Mindblowingly great! We loved it! "
"If you’re looking for a truly unique and memorable experience. I highly recommend staying at Casale di Maria in Matera. Domenica goes above and beyond with her attentive and welcoming service. She offers great tips on getting around town, where to go, and the best restaurants to try. It was an unforgettable stay - unlike any other hotel I’ve visited."
"Matera is breathtaking! Cenobio Hotel is elegance at it’s finest. The rooms are clean and the staff is helpful and accommodating. Recommend this place 100%!"
"Very well located, in the center área, cars not allowed but paid parking is within walking distance. Friendly staff and city is a must see. Different from everything I have ever seen."
"Beautiful hotel in the perfect location if you want to be right in the Sassi di Matera. Great restaurants and shops nearby, staff were all very friendly. "
"Giuseppe and his staff are really kind and wonderful, I will definitely come back! :) It’s also very close to the Sassi and museums. I can really vouch for it, definitely. "
"Very enthusiastic young couple who own this beautifully restored historic house in a perfect location to visit the town of Matera. They did not speak much English, but whipped out their google translate for a very lively and enjoyable visit, including an amazing full breakfast of local produce."

"Beautiful cave room, very spacious. Hotel residence itself was stunning, with beautiful dining area for breakfast and communal couch area. Highly recommend for a Matera stay. Lovely wine from their winery too. "
"Aside from the hotel being very nice and comfortable and in a great location, unfortunately we experienced an emergency medical situation that drastically hindered my mobility. They quickly relocated us to a ground floor room as I could not traverse the stairs to our original 2nd floor room, mgmt helped my wife with the luggage while is was in ER and arranged cab service for us from hospital, to pharmacy and back to hotel. They went above and beyond in all regards. A special thanks to Denise who made things much easier for my wife while I was receiving treatment. If in Matera again I will definitely look to book."
"The hostess at Casa Diva communicated with us beautifully. The hotel is charming and very close to a car park, important because visiting Matera involves carrying luggage over stoned streets and stairs. We would love to come back. We stayed in the Junior Suite, one of the few that is air conditioned, and were very comfortable."
"I have wanted to stay in the Matera caves for many years in coming to italy and having finally got here, not sure why it took so long. Matera is one of the most beautiful places i have ever been and this was the perfect accommodation. Stayed in a cave suite which was a unique experience, very comfortable and spacious. The parking is close enough and we had no problem getting to the property although they will assist if needed. Breakfast was varied and served in a lovely area past reception: Would definitely book again when we return. "
"We had a fabulous time at Palazzo Viceconte. The views from the room and from the roof terrace are simply stunning, and the staff were very welcoming and generous. We got engaged while we were there and they even gave us a free bottle of Prosecco! We will definitely be back."
