"Staff were very friendly and courteous. Kaiseki dinner and buffet breakfast were out of the world! Onsen, water temperature was perfect, and Jungle Onsen was interesting. Our room was tatami room with 2 beds which was large enough and comfortable. Even though the unit was rustic, it was very clean. They had no problem picking us up from the JR station even though I called the hotel in the morning of the arrival day. (Get off at JR Chikugo-Yoshiimachi station.) When we arrived at the station, the driver was already waiting for us with the sign. Let the front desk know if you need another ride returning to the station when you check in. Over all, we had a great stay at Taisenkaku Hotel. "

"Excellent service, staff is very knowledgeable for restaurants and things to do nearby. We send email to ask about tea experience and fruit picking experience and they reply with detailed information. Room is spotless and there is self-service laundry and free coffee and a little pantry where you can sort yourself breakfast with the shop next to the hotel where they sell local products every day. Highly recommend!"

"Beautiful spot inside and out. Super easy to check in and out. Very clean and pretty close to the main hub by car but a bit scary to drive down at night so bring enough food. I can only imagine when the trees outside blossom and how beautiful that would look. I guess I need to come back 😉 "

"Quiet. Staff was friendly and let me check out late. Fairly clean. Questionable stains on the walls and on the floor but at least the bed was clean. Bath was good. Not too many places to eat in the area. Hakurakuten nearby had good food and the staff was nice. "
