Residenza Dei Ricci was an excellent place to spend a few nights and explore Chiusi and its surroundings. The hosts were welcoming and accomodating in every respect. Breakfasts were great- a varied choice with home made delicacies.

Excellent stay

We had a wonderful stopover in Chiusi, a nice little village, 2 hours from Rome. The room was beautiful, spotless clean. The owner recommended a very good restaurant. The car could be parked on the premises. Breakfast was excellent, everything was homemade.

Living in a Palazzo

We stayed in the Zodiac Room, which has frescos on the ceiling and beautiful antique furniture. The room is right off a shared common area which is also palatial and furnished with antiques. If you want to experience lifving in an autherntic Italian palazzo, this is the place! The owners are very freindly and helpful and the breakfast was excellent.

Owner spoke some english, he was able to help us get reservations at a local tuscan winery and then dinner as well. He went above and beyond my expectations. Room was very good and breakfast was best in Italy.

La struttura ha un problema all impianto di riscaldamento acqua sanitaria. Impossibile usare la doccia. Avrebbero dovuto avvisare gli ospiti prima dell arrivo per lasciare libera scelta se confermare o trovare altra struttura. Comportamento del tutto scorretto. Peccato una bella struttura rovinata da una gestione non attenta.

Location stupenda, accoglienza splendida!

Abbiamo soggiornato in questa stupenda dimora storica ad agosto, insieme ai nostri due cagnoloni ed è stato un soggiorno splendido! I titolari sono persone davvero gentili ed accoglienti, che hanno fatto di tutto per far star bene noi e i nostri cuccioloni. La location dispone di comodo parcheggio privato, all’interno del grande giardino della casa, dove poter anche lasciare liberi i cani (sempre con discrezione, visto che è pieno di fiori stupendi, di alberi da frutto e di varie ‘postazioni’ dove prendere il sole, rilassarsi, magari nell’idromassaggio, leggere in tranquillità). Al check-in i proprietari, Donatella e Raffaele, ci hanno raccontato la storia della loro splendida dimora e, su nostra richiesta, ce ne hanno mostrato qualche camera; davvero un gioiello, i mobili antichi, i soffitti e le pareti affrescate, i pavimenti, tutti originali e quello che è stato modificato, per ovvie ragioni di restauro conservativo e di riconfigurazione degli ambienti (ove necessario), rispecchia in pieno l’atmosfera e il gusto dell’epoca, che dire, ce ne siamo innamorati. Location stupenda, romantica, storica, confortevole, accogliente, merito dei titolari che fanno di tutto per rendere ogni soggiorno nella loro residenza ,un soggiorno da sogno, che sia per una notte o per più giorni. In ultimo non posso non segnalare il momento colazione: la signora Donatella vizia i suoi ospiti con una colazione dolce e salata, realizzata con prodotti di prima qualità e con la sua sapienza di cuoca!

Wonderful classic residenza

A wonderful 5+ star residenza lovingly restored. The hosts were gracious and went to extraordinary lengths to assist including driving us the evening before our departure to the olive oil tasting venue on a tiny country road so we wouldnt get lost onour own. And Donatella's pastries at breakfast were exquiste!

Residenza assolutamente di charme, pulizia impeccabile in ogni ambiente, grande attenzione ai dettagli, giardino incantevole (in cui si può parcheggiare). Squisita l'accoglienza dei proprietari, gente di cuore con affabilità antica ad oggi rara, con grande amore per la natura, per il loro territorio e per la qualità della vita. Eccezionale gentilezza e discrezione. Un plus: la colazione, che non è una normale colazione ma è un'esperienza sensoriale. Essere ospiti dei signori Ricci vale molto più di ciò che si spende! Torneremo.

My husband and I spent one night at Residenza dei Ricci last weekend and cannot wait to return. It is ideally situated for exploring Chiusi and the surrounding area. Our short time spent under the care of Donatella and Raffaele was one of the best travel experiences we have ever had. They are talented, congenial and generous hosts. The residenza is beautifully appointed with all the amenities one would expect at a luxury hotel -- combined with all the warmth one feels while staying at the home of good friends. Breakfast was delightful - complete with Donatella's homemade pastries.

We stayed at many top rated places during our two weeks trip in Italy. This place was among the best. We loved the beautiful room with quality furnishing, great bathroom fittings and amenities and of course powerful shower. We enjoyed the time chatting with the host Ricci at the lovely garden with a bottle of prosecco, olives and peanuts! We appreciated the wonderful breakfast prepared by the lady host Donatella, not to mention her excellent pastries. We were overwhelmed by the varieties of breakfast items provided as we were the only two guests there. We also liked the private parking on site. Thank you Donatella and Ricci. We hope to return someday and stay longer!

Wonderful!

Our stay was absolutely amazing! The owners have beautifully restored the historical aspects of the building. Each room is historically unique but all are updated to be spacious with all modern conveniences. There are gourmet breakfasts each morning lovingly prepared by Donatella who is an incredible chef (specializing in pastry!). There are special touches everywhere...there were fresh flowers in our room cut from the garden and she even baked my husband a birthday cake 🎂. Will be recommending the beautiful accommodations to everyone we know 🌸
