The area is more expensive than we were expecting (this was our first time in Thailand, and everyone kept telling us how cheap Thailand was). Transportation is terrible. Cabs are expensive - a 2km trip will cost you 420 TB ($14), and traffic is bad

Choeng Tahale is more of a quiet area compared to other parts. I stayed mainly on the resort.
