"Given its location in iffy downtown Wilmington, the hotel’s outdoor parking lot up the block was an insurance risk. The furnishings constituted a 3-star Corporate Ad for Plastics. Happy Hour was pleasant if you wanted to mingle with young backpack-equipped corporate sales novices attending a motivational conference. The breakfast buffet included almost completely cold scrambled eggs (just enough heat to keep the bacteria multiplying: another insurance risk—we both came down with diarrhea the next day). The breakfast sausages could have been manufactured using the leather from someone’s belt. The wafels and bread looked scary to. The shower was disappointing. To their credit, however, the staff was—without exception—both friendly and helpful. "

"Breakfast was good and fresh! It was cold that night so I didn't get a chance to enjoy the outside. However, I was disappointed that I booked a king size bed and I received double beds. I don't mind double beds but I got the room because I enjoyed the kingsize bed when I originally stayed at that hotel."

"We picked this hotel because it was close to the Wilmington (DE) train station. It proved to be far more than adequate _ very friendly and welcoming staff, charming comfortable rooms. My only small disappointment is that they only put out coffee and some pastry in the morning — not enough for a real breakfast. We found a pleasant cafe nearby, though. "

"The experience was wonderful. Beautiful room and helpful and friendly staff.We stayed here last eight years ago, and again it was a wonderful experience. With one exception. On our last visit, dinner and breakfast were truly exceptional, attentive staff and delicious food served in an atmosphere of quiet elegance. The staff are still wonderful and the food is exceptional. But now there is an extremely noisy bar with excessively loud music which made conversation very difficult."

"What a disaster. Worst ever. I show up and they somehow gave my room away, with no rooms available and no explanation available either. To top things off, the front desk girl and her manger are rude and unsympathetic. Not even a polite apology. Just stared at me expressionless. Really odd vibe. Have stayed at many Courtyards before and they’re generally clean and well kept, but this one looked like a complete dump outside and in the lobby. The fact that I never made it to the room might have even been a blessing in disguise? Anyway, avoid this specific hotel."

"The property owner was friendly but he told me this was a good neighborhood and that he’s never had any issues however I pulled into the neighborhood made the block and immediately decided we would not be staying there. I messaged him told him we would not be checking in. I lost over 1000 but as a woman traveling alone I just was not comfortable tents and people on the side walks laying around on the side walks is a no for me .. I never entered the property so I can’t speak to cleanliness or checkin process"
