"This was our final overnight stay on a spectacular eight-day late September / early October trip that my wife and I took in Colorado and northern New Mexico. Actually, most of the trip was pre-planned months in advance, but our side venture into New Mexico and a stay at the wonderful Casa del Gavilan was a bit of a last minute change in plans. This is a very special place with an incredibly beautiful natural setting, remarkable history, magnificent historical architecture, comfortable rooms, and gracious hospitality.
