Great house and location
We had a lovely 3 night stay in this home. The beds were very comfortable and sheets were beautifully soft. Plenty of towels in the bathrooms and the kitchen had every utensil you could need.
Love the location, have been before and will go again!

Great house for a group of friends in a lovely location
The property was ideally located on the lake in this lovely estate, perfect for a group of friends, but would stay with family too. The house had everything we needed and the hot tub was an added bonus.

Annual Family Trip
Having stayed at Howells Mere, Lower Mill Estate last year we decided to return as it is a great place for the whole family.
Orion Holidays had Crane Lodge on their list. We decided to book through Orion Holidays and from start to finish the service was excellent. Everything ran very smoothly and Crane Lodge did not disappoint and the facilities were excellent . As we were asked to give feed back we had a few minor suggestions which we fed back. Crane Lodge is beautifully appointed and a lovely home and we would book it again.

Beautiful house for a family weekend
We stayed at this gorgeous house for a family weekend to celebrate my mums 75th birthday.
We had family aged from 18 months to 80 and the house was perfect. The owners have such style and everything so well thought through. We all enjoyed the hot tub and eating dinner on the upstairs decking.
Beds were lovely and the master bed rooms were gorgeous.
Orion holidays were organised and friendly when we called them. We will definitely be back and use them again .

just what we wanted
Company phoned us the day before arrival to make sure we had what we needed to get into the property and to let us know we could come into the property earlier than the official check in time which was really helpful.
On arrival the place was clean and tidy and we had no issues whilst we were there with the property itself
The hot tub could have been cleaner, there was a notable amount of hair in it when we arrived which was a shame but it didn't put us off using it.
The property and location and service we received mean that we had a fantastic for a weekend away with friends.

Even the weather couldn't ruin it!
We managed to pick the 4 rainiest days of the year, but still felt it was a delightful escape. So many things for the kids to do, especially the pool, great walks for the dog, a charming spa for the wife, and welcoming a restaurant to escape the rain and get a great feed.
The house was really clean well proportioned, and well furnished with a great feel of light and space looking out over the balconies to the lake below. I cant think of anything that was missing.
100% we will be returning to this!!!

Fabulous accommodation.
We stayed at Howells Mere for 3 nights in April to celebrate my dad’s 80th birthday. 10 of us stayed in total ranging from aged 13-80. The setting and accommodation were perfect- I cannot recommend it highly enough. The accommodation was amazing, spotlessly clean, ,beautifully furnished, there were plenty of towels and robes for all of us and the kitchen had everything in you could wish for. We enjoyed big family meals round the dining table. The decked area on the top floor is large and full of comfy furniture with cushions provided and we sat out each evening watching the sun set across the lake. It’s the perfect setting for a family celebration as there’s something for everyone. There are lovely walks from directly outside the property and information on these is provided. If you just want to sit and relax the outlook is amazing. The whole “village” is beautiful and so well maintained, we enjoyed a take away coffee and some pastries from the coffee shop on site. Some of us went swimming at the spa but please be aware that they split the timetable into 90 minute seasons and you have to queue at the start of each session to get a space. It’s well worth a visit though, the main pool is lovely and there’s a big outdoor pool which was a bit chilly but we soon got used to it. The eco pool was freezing but worth a quick dip to re-energise! We also booked the tennis courts- just sign up at the courts and book an hour slot on the paper timetable. The hot tub was beautifully clean and we loved using this and my brother took his paddle board which we just launched off the lower deck into the lake- perfect! The customer service from Orion was truly exceptional, the best I’ve experienced. The online booking was easy, the pre arrival info was so comprehensive, I had a pre arrival phone call to check room configurations etc, another call the day before to say we could check in early and then a member of staff actually arrived at the property on the day we arrived to check all was ok. This is an exceptional property, maintained and managed by an exceptional company and in an exceptional location- get booking !

A family holiday
We wanted a house that comfortably accommodated all of us and it certainly lived up to expectations. It was cosy and comfortable. It was equipped well with everything we needed for our stay. The position of the house on the lake was perfect for guests who love to fish or boat on the lake. The hot tub was wonderful as well. The swimming pools were clean and well maintained. Having a booking system meant that we were able to get a slot on every day we wanted one. Plus the tennis and multi function courts were a great asset. There was something for everyone

Lovely stay but cleaning was a let down
Spacious and really lovely property that we have stayed at a few times. But the cleaning was really disappointed. We found an old plaster stuck to the sideboard in one of the rooms. Outside on the terrace/balcony had not been cleaned at all! There were cobwebs and bird droppings everywhere it was unusable for us

Great family vacation
The house was amazing and in a great location. The kids enjoyed being on a lake and seeing ducks all day long, as well as canoes and kayaks. Lower Mills Estate is a great place to vacation - very family friendly with lots of activities and sites nearby. Beautiful house and beautiful grounds, very peaceful. Two things to know about the house are that the kitchen and family room are on the third floor, so there are lots of steps to climb, and the steps are pretty steep compared to what we are used to. Second, the house is on a lake and in the countryside and there are no screens on the windows, or sliding doors, so there are lots of bugs. We knew this in advance so it wasn't a problem, but it's something to know, esp in the evenings. But neither issue detracted from a great vacation.
All good - spacious house, everything you need is there, interesting place to explore too.

Great stay
We all thoroughly enjoyed our family get together stay at Crane Lodge. Orion Holidays were extremely efficient and accommodating. Only negative is the lack of proper signage on the complex making it difficult to locate the Lodge.
We had a wonderful weekend in this lovely property. We enjoyed playing and swimming in the meres and lagoons and the spa pool. We spent lots of time on the veranda and enjoying the BBQ.

Lovely sunny weekend
We had a great weekend at Howell’s Mere. The location is lovely and the house was perfect for us to enjoy the water and sit on the terrace. We really enjoyed the swimming pool and nature walks, although it was a bit tricky getting around as so many parts of the park are private and it isn’t always clear where you are allowed or not.

Ideal location & property for family celebration
Fabulous property.
Spotlessly clean. Previous reviews mentioned marks on walls which, there were, but this didn’t detract from our enjoyment.
Property isn’t suitable for people with poor mobility due to amount of stairs but fine for others.
Lovely fizz and card greeted us on arrival.
Orion Holidays, can’t fault their service.
The Cotswolds Water Park is a great place. There’s something for everyone
