Check in was quick and easy. Hostel was situated in the middle of town within easy walk of all amenities. There was no noise at night and comfortable stay. would recommend.
Comfortable and welcoming hostel in great location
Excellent location. Friendly and welcoming staff. Good shared kitchen area with a friendly atmosphere. Rooms and bathrooms are fairly tight but that is expected. All in good condition and clean. We enjoyed our stay here and our visit to the surrounding Cotswolds area.
Accommodation was simple, but clean and had everything you needed. Great central location and the staff were really friendly and accommodating when we needed a later check out for a wedding. Was nice to not have to worry about getting dressed up and then wondering around Cirencester for hours before the wedding started.

Liked: Staff & service
Room was cramped, stuffy with noisy from generator outside window. Like a prison cell. Kitchen facility great. Location really good.
It's a posh YHA at post YHA prices...but still a really good choice for families in a touristy part of the world. Our bunks were ready made and comfortable. Clean, modern design with well equipped kitchen. Easy parking and supermarkets close by. Would stay again.
My only comment would be around the shower. Whilst the shower was excellent the water comes out into the bathroom because the drain needs to raised to form a lip.

Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service
Voilently expensive parking. I estimated the owner (Council? ) would make 3/4 million Pounds from this car park. A real killer.
Room extremely simple but adequate. No TV.
We had a great stay at the YHA Cotswolds (The Barrel Store) and would highly recommend the accommodation! It is perfectly located in Cirencester's old town - supermarket, shops and cafes are just a few yards walk away. The room and the shared kitchen were very clean, the employees were very nice and always available for questions. The communal kitchen is perfectly equipped and offers enough space to cater for yourself. Cirencester is a wonderful small town and a perfect base for exploring the Cotswolds - thanks to numerous bus services to nearby villages and towns, the area is wonderful to explore without a car. We were completely satisfied with the YHA Cotswolds (The Barrel Store) and would not hesitate to come back!
The receptionist was nice, but the room was awful. Not clean at all, there was still sticking stains on the floor. Not any possibility to open the window. We stayed in place as costy as this one and it was better
We got stuck in traffic and missed the check in window by 20 minutes. There was no one around, the phone rang to an empty desk, and no way to check in late, which is unheard of in my experiences of hostels. My family of 4 was forced to sleep in our car outside until the following morning. They then checked us in with a pencil and clipboard. Very unprofessional. Terrible experience. I would have liked to have given it a better review, but no late check in policy is a huge miss.
