The property is PERFECT for a visit to Medjugore! It is immaculate, breakfast was varied and plentiful, and the location is perfect. Staff is very kind and helpful.
You will love this location. Easy walk to city centre and church. Staff are very helpful and kind and the king size bed was a winner!. Breakfast was lovely and plentiful. Thank you.
The trip to Medjugorje was amazing. The hotel was extremely accommodating and the food for breakfast was very good. We were able to use the pool at the resort associated with the hotel and the facilities were incredible. We would stay here again if we return to the area.

Very nice hotel with good prices and good location. Everything was fine except for fact that bathroom light was not working and they could not get it fixed during our short stay.
If I could give Hotel Herceg more than 5 stars I would. Everything about this hotel was amazing. From location to the staff. The hotel is at the heart of Medugorje. A very short walk to the church, nearby shops, and restaurants. My family and I walked to Apparition Hill which was about 25 minute walk (highly recommend to walk, see the houses, and the Divine Mercy statue & well), and we walked to Cross Mountain. A bit further but doable. The staff were amazing! Every person we met was friendly, hospitable, and extremely kind. Will not be staying anymore else if/when I come back to Medugorje. AMAZING AMAZING STAY ! God bless this hotel.
The staff of Hotel Herceg are very warm and accommodating. We arrived so early but was able to checked in a little early. We only stayed a night and checked out early but they looked after our luggages until night time while we are still going around the area and waiting for our bus. Helped us calling and dealing good prices for local transportation going around. They go above and beyond to provide good service and comfort to their guests. The breakfast is superb…more than what we expected for the price we paid. Excellent choice…very close to bus station (3 mins walk), the DM supermarket is just next building to the hotel and there are other shops around. Very close to church and other attractions and restaurant. Mostly can be reached by walking. Thank you to all the staff.
We got stuck at the elevator for a moment. But it’s all good

Management and staff were excellent, very understanding and accommodating. Hotel was clean and well kept. Only issue I had was that the light over the sink in the bathroom would not come and no came to fix it even after I reported it twice. I also reported that the water in shower was draining fast enough again no one came to fix it. I would still recommend this hotel because the staff including the staff was just so lovely and overall the hotel the clean within walking distance to everything with supermarkets on all sides
The Carpets in the room were badly stained. The room was were hot, could not bring down the temperature below 25 Degrees. Was advised later that the temperature is centrally controlled. No Tea and Coffee facilities in the room.

Misleading description.
I specifically booked the Herceg because it had a pool....not.
The pictures of the pool are from a sister hotel 2km away.
The hotel description also states there is a pool.
The manager was not available to discuss, the receptionist taking the brunt of my displeasure at being mislead. She did her best in the situation, but I could not cancel the booking as I had passed the cutoff time.
Breakfast was included but limited for a supposed 4 star hotel.
Will not be staying there again.
We stayed in Hotel Herceg for two nights. It was very handy in relation to the bus station (we took public bus from Dubrovnik to Medugorje) and also to the main street and St James' Church. It was very a very clean, modern room/hotel, the beds were very firm but comfortable nonetheless. WiFi was good and it was nice and quiet. There were no tea/coffee making facilities and being Irish we do like a cup of tea morning/evening if we have come back to the hotel for an hour or so! That was just one down side but not a deal-breaker when everything else is good. Also there was no safe. We had breakfast included. There was a great selection of pastries, cereal, bacon/sauages, fruit, ham/cheese, bread and omlettes were offered also. We booked in Feb and stayed end of April so we got a very reasonable price so would stay here again for same cost.
