The owners Jelena and her husband are truly gracious hospitable people. The hotel is spotlessly clean, close to Apparation Hill, St James's Church and shops and restaurants. I can't stress enough the generosity of Jelena, she served an enormous cooked breakfast every morning and was always available to advise guests and arrange transportation. I have absolutely no hesitation in recommending Villa Flowers. Thank you so much Yelena and Nico. And thanks so much Expedia.

The wifi was not that good, my room 103 some times couldn't connected. The kitchen is locked after the own left! So couldn't cook by yourown! The room is clean, the breakfast is good as well!

Must stay! Centered between Saint James Church, Apparition Hill and Cross Mountain. Walking distance. Owner Niko arranged transport to and from Dubrovnik. Was a wonderful guide with very good English. I recommend the yummy breakfast for 7 euro. Very clean and comfortable. We will stay here again.

Great stay at Villa Flowers. Very clean and a great breakfast was provided. Good showers with plenty of hot water. A/C was also quiet and great. Location is very good within reasonable walking distance to either St James church or to the blue cross (it's nicely located in between them). My only caution is that if you are not paying in full in advance and if it states that you will pay on site, just be sure to have Euros/cash as that is the preferred payment method if you are not paying in full through Expedia. The balconies are common (not private) with a beautiful view of cross mountain on one of them. The family that runs this operation is very kind and work hard to satisfy their guests. I would definitely return.

Disappointing- the description as written on Hotels.com is not accurate. This hotel does not have a restaurant let alone a bar. It does not even have 24/7 staff and requests payment be done in cash. I have a confirmation for a balcony room with view of Cross Mountain. My room had no balcony or view as I contracted.

Wonderful stay in Medjugorje

A very cozy hotel, immaculately clean and comfortable. Niko and Jelena are lovely, attentive and responsive. We felt very welcomed. Excellent hosts. Although we arrived very early in the morning, they let us do the check-in earlier. There was a table with fresh juice, water and cookies available all day. We are so grateful, it was a wonderful experience. Highly recommended.

Worthy of repeating

Prior to our stay, the owners reached out via email asking if we needed anything special during our stay. They arranged for our transfers to and from Sarajevo airport. We were greeted by the owners upon our arrival at Villa Flowers, and showed to our rooms- just like the photos. The entire Villa is meticulously clean. It sits on a field in a peaceful setting, just a short walk from the Main Street. There are walking paths that lead to St James, one to Apparition Hill and another to Cross Mountain. Easy access to everything. There was a generous variety of food at breakfast. There was a table with fresh juice, water and cookies available all day. We were there for Christmas when all the restaurants were closed. The owners provided so much food for us that day, including some unusual local specialties. During our stay my daughter fell and hurt her ankle (while hiking). It was swollen and bruised that we thought it could have been broken. Niko (the owner) drove us to a local man known for his ability to fix these types of injuries and after a few days, she was walking normally. The owners really took great care of us. Life really slowed down for us and we appreciated the simplicity of the rooms and life with no televisions. By the end of the trip 5 out of 6 of our group wanted to stay longer. I guess we will just have to return.

Fabulous Experience

We traveled as a family group of three couples, booked 3 rooms at Villa Flowers, a lovely hotel in Medjugorje. The property is very well located, about halfway between Apparition Hill and St. James Church. Our host, Niko, and his lovely wife, Jelena, did everything possible to make us all feel comfortable, welcomed, and appreciated. The hotel is a well-appointed, immaculately well-maintained, 3-year-old hotel. We were served delicious meals each day! We will definitely return to Villa Flowers on our next Medjugorje visit.

Newer hotel with awesome owners

We thoroughly enjoyed our weekend stay at Villa Flowers in Medjugorje. It was outside of town and very peaceful, yet within walking distance to downtown. The owners were very pleasant and welcoming. The room was clean and bright with a nice shower and comfy bed. (We were on the third floor, so if stairs are an issue--ask for a lower floor as there isn't an elevator. The breakfast was abundant and the homemade berry jam was delicious! The price was very reasonable. Highly recommended.

We stayed 7 days bed and breakfast. The Expedia website advertised : free bottled water, shuttle service, daily housekeeping and Televisions in all rooms. All of those were missing! Be prepared to make your bed daily. As we complained about lack of room service, bins were emptied 3 times in 7 days but bed sheets not changed. Breakfast was excellent, good variety of tea and meats, eggs, bread. Showers were good and air conditioning working well. I would not recommend staying here if you do not have a car. We booked there due to the shuttle service which didn’t even exist! After complaining to Expedia an amicable reimbursement was agreed by the Guest House manager and us for the inconvenience incurred. This place I feel is still in its development stage. There are no telephones in the rooms, there is no reception for help or support. There were days when there were no staff around after 8pm, so in an emergency getting help would be a problem. There was biscuits, fluids and fruit on offer for guests in the dining room to help themselves throughout the day.
