Cividale del Friuli in northern Italy is an old town with a medieval center. It was once the capital of the kingdom of the Lombards. Cividale is situated on the river Natisone.

It was a lovely setting with a beautiful pool and poolside wine bar. The staff were friendly and welcoming. We enjoyed both tasting the wines and enjoying the generous breakfast. Thank you for a relaxing get-away.
