Breakfast was very good. Staff were friendly and welcoming. Property is in need of some TLC, and could be an excellent venue. Gardens in need of de-weeding and some cutting back on trees, brambles etc.

the staff were very helpful, the room was clean and although a bit dated, the area was very quite and peaceful.
Smashing location - nice accommodation, don't be put off by the somewhat weathered exterior of the building. Clean and comfortable room, OK breakfast, nice evening meal, though note that if you book dinner the drink they offer you is NOT included, which only became clear at checkout! Great location, competitive price, nice grounds. Dog friendly. Pleasant and helpful staff, though a very small team

Excellent and attentive staff, a pleasant room and a fantastic breakfast.
We'd stay here again however there are elements - the big rip in the curtains being the most obvious example - that require attention.

If you are in the western lake area this is a great location. The hotel itself was once a private resisdence, which has been used as a hotel for many years. It apparently has just been sold to a new owner. It would be fair to say its a bit tired, but thats OKin our view. The garden is nice and sitting outside for a drink very peaceful. The staff and manager (Amy) were really nice and helpful. The rooms are good, and the shower really powerful!!
Breakfast excellent and whilst we didnt have dinner, the food looked really good.
Try this place, the building is lovely and they want to make it better. We'll go back
Quiet convenient location very clean room tidied every day .

Staff were very nice and situated with some nice walks close by. The hotel is an old building so was a bit creaky at night.

Was a bit worried from the outside but internally it looked much better. Excellent staff and good food. They say they are dog friendly which they are but at a price. We stayed 3 nights and were charged £15 per night per dog for our two dogs £90!!!
