Beautiful resort. We didn't have anyone to check us in, but our instructions were easy to find. Kids loved the arcade games and the adults like the shared kitchen. Close to Kirtland temple and other historical sites.
Staff was AWESOME, super Helpful and Friendly!♥️♥️♥️
The only thing I should have asked if the room was on the main floor, it was not.
You have to climb up about 15-20 steps, no elevator.
Carrying luggage upstairs is not my favorite.
It was such a beautiful place.
Gorgeous venue in a lovely town! The accommodations were everything we needed and more, making for one of the most memorable vacations I’ve ever taken. Highly recommended!

The staff was welcoming and accommodating. Though there was a tornado and we didn’t have any power, they went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable. Fantastic time at this facility.

This is the nicest facility we have stayed at, it’s beautiful, we were moved to a ground floor suite ,since my family member had difficulty walking, Emily was fantastic!
I was so excited to be able to sit on the back porch of the room, we had ducks visit and at least 6 black and grey squirrels. I cannot tell you in enough words how fantastic this place is! If there was a 10 star rating this wonderful resort would receive it. Dan the Maintenance manager was so kind. The interior was spectacular and the pond with the covered bridge was fantastic. We were so lucky to stay there! Thank you to all of you , you made our stay so special!
A very unique property that is a mix of a VRBO and a smaller boutique hotel. It is part of a special event venue with two buildings surrounded by gorgeous grounds. There were 9 rooms oriented around a common great room with a full kitchen, huge dining table, fireplaces, couches and to my grandchildren’s delight, several arcade games, foosball table and air hockey!
We loved our short stay and would highly recommend it to others. We had two rooms and were the only guests that night. This would be especially nice for a large extended family visiting the Historical Kirtland area and needing several rooms.
Property is beautiful. I could see a wedding being done there. They upgraded us to another room because they used our room for corporate event. Was absolutely beautiful!
We had such a wonderful stay at Tall Oaks Resort! It was beautiful and so clean. Our kids loved the common area with games to play. They even set chairs around the property for us to enjoy the solar eclipse from their beautiful property. We wish we had stayed longer than only 1 night.
The carriage house and the room were both extremely clean. It felt like spending the night in a house and not a hotel. The only downfall is that you can hear people in the lobby/common area, which will not prevent me from booking another night here in the future. I highly recommend Tall Oaks!
Place was excellent. Great service and recommendations for food etc. The Creamery down the street is amazing.
Owners invited us to stay on site even after checkout for the solar eclipse.
The only recommendation I have is I am used to sleeping in nearly total darkness. The glass window above the door does allow light in from common area.

Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service, amenities
The place was very unique in which it has rooms along the exterior and an open common area in between them. Half of the common area is a kitchen/dining area, while the other is a game room. In theory, this seems like a great idea with easy access to everything, but in practice, not so much. You can hear everything when in the room, from the cooking in the kitchen to the kids playing in the game room. But worst of all, the game room area has an air hockey table, which is placed along the wall in between two rooms. You can do so much with a game room without it being crazy loud like a air hockey table. On top of that, the rooms are on the second floor, with the first being some sort of maintenance area with large garage doors. These doors can also be loud in the room. One morning they were opened up around 6:00am.
I feel like I'm extra negative about it, but we still thought it was a really nice place. I think it would work out much better as a place where an entire party rented the place out, rather than playing off like a hotel with each individual room sold separately.
On a positive note, the room itself was very nice and the staff were always nice and helpful. The kitchen area had everything you need for cooking, and the shared fridge had plenty of room for everyone.
Also of note, there is no temperature control for each room. They stated the maintenance crew controls the entire facility. This wasn't a huge issue for us, as we were generally comfortable.
The property is in a quiet location and a beautiful setting. All rooms are on the second floor and there is no elevator. Internet TV was very spotty. It was easy to hear other people outside the rooms. This would be a great property for a few friends or families to stay in one place and have common areas to be together. There is no complimentary breakfast.
We enjoyed our overnight stay very much. The entire facility was beautiful and our room & common space were amazing. They spared no expensive when it came to the finishes, fixtures and furniture. Everything was beautiful and new. We would definitely stay here again and would recommend it to others.
Friendly, knowledgeable staff. Well appointed rooms and public spaces. Nice balcony Very clean. Perfect for venue-type occasions, where large family/friend groups can gather together.
This place is brand new and beautiful. The staff and owners were super welcoming and made my boring, Wednesday night stay feel like an event to celebrate. The room was extremely comfortable and there's a wooded area in the back with swings and chairs for relaxing. There are sidewalks and a few dining options in walking distance, as well as a park and multi-use path into a natural area. I recommend Tall Oaks wholeheartedly.
Great for a wedding venue and you want to spend time at night with your group of friends. But walls are paper thin. We were NOT spread out, even though only 3 out of the 10 rooms were booked. So we could hear the conversation next door as if they were in the room with us. They had a barn door on the bathroom, so no privacy! Also the sensor for the bathroom light is in the middle of the bathroom, the light would go off every 2 minutes while in the shower.
